/ First Person Protagonist POV /

The Razor Crest landed with a little turbulence on a snowy plain. As the landing gears securely attached to the icy ground, a mix of emotions overwhelmed me. I had done it. I was safely on Carlac, and thanks to Din: I had a bigger chance to find Pha Stett.

D8-X2 opened the electronic ramp for me and Din, and I waited not a second more. I rushed down the ramp, almost sliding on the thin layer of ice on the ground. I was welcomed by a strong whooshing of frigid air hitting my face, making me stumble back up into the ramp.

" Careful there, y/n." Din laughed as he caught my shoulder before I fell back.

" Right. I hadn't thought about how ungraceful my entrance on the planet would be." I cleared my throat and dusted off snow from my grey tunic. " Where are we?"

" Carlac." He replied sarcastically. I rolled my eyes. " I know that, you twat. I meant where in Carlac are we?" Din walked a couple steps forward into the snowy ground, looking around him through the dense snowfall. " We're close to the camp, if that's what you want to know."

My eyes lit with enthusiasm. " Well what are we waiting for?! Let's go." I said, marching forwards and pulling Din by the wrist. " You don't know where it is, though."

I stopped in my tracks and turned around. " But you do. So come on, lead the way." I sneered and walked next to him. " Oh, and thank you for the clothing. You were right, it is freezing. I didn't recall it being so cold."

" I thought you'd never been on Carlac?" Din hummed.

" I don't recall well, everything's still a little fuzzy in my brain. But something tells me I've lived here for a long time... I guess I'll have to ask master Pha Stett when we get to her camp." I shrugged. I was surprised with myself: I was acting awfully calm for the situation I was in. I wasn't panicking, or overflowing with energy to find my mentor, to even know she was alive.

" May I ask what's your relation with her? By the sound of it, you seem like her apprentice?" Din asked.

" That's what my memories tell me. But I feel like we're such strangers to each other. Physically, I haven't seen her for a little over a year, but it feels like I've never met her. And yet, master Pha Stett seems like my family, like I've known her for an eternity." I huffed and shook my head. " Does that make sense?"

Din was silent for a couple seconds. " No. Not at all." He bluntly replied. " But not because it doesn't make sense that it's not what really is going on inside of that confusing mind of yours." He chuckled.

" Geez. Thanks. Makes me feel so much better." I rolled my eyes.

" Just pure honesty. Not my fault you can't take it." Din shrugged.

We left the snow covered plain and ventured into the surrounding forest filled with tall and weird looking trees. We hadn't traveled far, and yet it took a lot of time due to the thick layer of snow covering the ground plus the intense snow fall made it hard to see where we were headed.

" Are we almost there?" I complained with a huff. " Honestly, you sound like a child, y/n. I already told you we landed close to the camp." Din laughed, almost sounding sarcastic. " Define how close is 'close' in your perception." I joked.

" Let me think... It's... close." He said and pushed a branch out of the way, almost hitting me in the face with it.

" I'm going to pretend you didn't do that on purpose." I grumbled. " And stop being a jerk, Din Din. Snow got inside my boots! My feet are freezing. So please answer the bloody question and tell me how far away we are!" I whimpered.
