/ First Person Protagonist POV /
I walked out of one of the rooms of the Razor Crest with a fresh set of clothes Din had given me. The clothing was a little too large for me, but nothing a belt couldn't fix. I made my way to the only other place I was familiar with on the ship, the cockpit.
Mando wasn't there, it was only the droid and me. I sneaked from behind the pilot seat and leaned my chin on top of the it. " Heya Droidy." I smirked.
If the droid could roll his eyes, he probably would've done that. " Oh no. It's the bounty." It said in a robotic emotionless tone, yet it almost sounded sarcastic.
" You mean: Ah yes, it's y/n." I corrected and chuckled. " I wanted to know how much time until we are in reach of Carlac, if you would please inform me." I told the droid.
" I will have to ask to be programmed to ignore you." The droid replied, going back to whatever it was doing.
A laugh came from behind me, and I turned around on my heels to see Din leaning on the opened entrance of the cockpit. " Ah, sod off, Din Din." I smirked at his new nickname, which I knew he didn't like at all. " Your droid is so rude."
" Is it really? I think D8-X2 is like that just with you. I wonder why?" He replied and sat down in a retractile wall seat. " Very funny." I rolled my eyes and sat across from him.
" If you're done thinking I'm hilarious, there's something- someone, that I know you'll be pleased to meet." Din said.
I cocked my eyebrow questionably before following Din out of the cockpit towards and area at the back of his ship. " Who is it, Din?" I asked. There wasn't anyone that crossed my mind who I'd be pleased to meet that I was aware of.
" You'll see." He chuckled and opened the door.
Inside was a floating crib, which was the thing I least expected. Din walked inside and I followed, staying behind him. I peeked over his shoulder, looking towards the odd appearing crib, only to be met by a pair of big dark orbs locked with my eyes.
" Din... Is that a... baby?!" I shrieked silently.
" Not exactly, but physically yes. It's... a long story." He whispered back.
I stepped away from behind Din and walked beside him, approaching the crib with precaution. " He's adorable." I couldn't help but smile at the cute little creature staring at me. I had no idea what species he was, but that didn't matter, my heart had melted for the little one in front of me.
" I don't recall ever seeing a toddler this young before." I chuckled and kneeled in front of the crib as the little green creature reached his small arms towards me.
Din stood at the back of the room with his arms crossed, looking at the both of us interact. " It's unexpected. He usually doesn't like strangers as much." He commented.
The little green alien grabbed my hand in both of his, and I could immediately feel the force in him. I turned to look at Mando with wide eyes. " He's force sensitive." I said under my breath, locking eyes with the child as he grinned towards me.
I stood up and walked towards Din who had moved to the door of the room. " We should let him rest." He said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
I nodded and stared at the child one last time, smiling at him. He stretched out his little hand towards me, and it seemed like the green alien had waved.
When Mando closed the door of the room, I couldn't stop smiling. " It's- so adorable. Thank you Din, for trusting me enough to show me." I nudged his shoulder. " Of course, y/n. He seems to like you." He replied as we both walked back to the cockpit.
