/ First Person Protagonist POV /

Mithus' eyes widened in shock, but he was too late to react when I kneed him in the abdomen. He stumbled back, and I took the chance to retrieve the blaster from his loosened grip before kicking him further away. When Mithus had caught his balance, I was pointing the blaster at him from a safe distance, so if he tried to fight, I would see it coming.

" You- that move. It... Can't be..." He struggled to say, catching his breath.

My stance softened as I realized what I'd done: the Crimson Hunter's signature move. I had hoped Mithus would've forgotten about the bounty hunter, after all, it had been months since I stopped working for him to go on the mass hunt.

I knew now it was too late to try and convince Mithus otherwise. And even if he knew my bounty hunter identity, it couldn't affect me: I was no longer in the hunting business, and I could defend myself better than ever before. " Took you long enough to notice, Kothari." I sneered, fixing my posture, keeping my guard up at all times.

" Putting the pieces was easy. Same height, same unapproachable character, and same annoyance." He muttered. " Geez, thanks. I'm astonished you're able to have a normal, civilized conversation now. Could've saved you some abdominal pain earlier." I rolled my eyes.

" But where's the fun in that? Didn't the First Order take ya? I'm startled you're still alive, I would've bet my fortunes you'd get killed along the way." Mithus chuckled.

" You know better than that. You wouldn't have hired me if I wasn't good at finding bounties." I replied. " Still in the business? I'd be surprised a hunter like you shows up here without concealing their identity, C.H." He smirked devilishly, sitting on his desk.

" Do you think I'm stupid to show up without a face mask at the very least if I was still a bounty hunter?" Mithus smiled arrogantly at my words. " You know what? Don't even answer that." I huffed before he could say anything.

" Hm, it is you, C.H. Must explain how you got here unseen. Did you take the trap door?" Mithus completely ignored what I'd said. I sighed, I swear there's so many twisted things going on inside his mind, I can't even keep up with the conversation. " Yes. I suppose you forgot to seal it off?" I nodded.

" My imbecile men couldn't even find it." Mithus scoffed.

I was getting distracted with the conversation, when I realized what Mithus was doing. He was tricking me once more, trying to catch me off guard. I tightened the grip on the blaster and put my index finger on the trigger, " really Mithus? This again?"

He laughed and put his hands up in front of him. " It was worth a shot. You're so gullible, I wonder how you haven't been killed yet." I rolled my eyes, " hate to agree, but I wonder the same."

" I'm done with you wasting my time, Kothari. Give me what I want." I ordered.

" What was it, again? Ah, yes. You want a ship." Mithus questioned. " I wish you the best of luck with that, C.H. I'm not giving you anything."

" I thought you'd say that." I sighed, pointing the blaster at his face, the barrel of the blaster was between his eyes, above the bridge of his nose. " Let me make myself clear once more: Give me a ship, and you'll be spared. You'll be able to continue your pathetic and disgusting life of crime." I threatened.

Mithus was silent for a couple seconds, and I had hopes he was actually considering my offer- threat. But he exploded into uncontrollable laughter. Typical Mithus... " Was that a threat, C.H?" He said between loud guffaw. " Go ahead, shoot me. You don't have the guts to kill. I knew it even when you had your crimson armor: under that, there was a cowardly girl that hides from the inevitable evilness of the galaxy." Mithus spat with a smirk.
