Chapter 80, Rey

/ Third Person POV / 

( Kijimi City ) ( Two or three days earlier from present )

Rey, Finn, and Poe had fled Kijimi without hesitation with their two trusted droids, one that was now without recollection of his memories. They had translated what the Sith Dagger had unscripted with the help of C3 PO, and had no time to waste. " I still can't believe you would hide such a thing from us, Poe!" Finn exclaimed as the group ran and hid from stormtroopers patrolling the city. " An ex spice runner? Why couldn't you tell us? We're like family!"

" Well, um, I don't know! Maybe cause being a spice runner isn't something I'm quite fond of!" Poe replied sarcastically. " I mean, do you think I'd just walk up to my girlfriend's parents and say: Hello, my name is Poe Dameron, I'm a resistance pilot, the best one actually. Oh! Have I told you I was a spice runner before?" Poe added in mockery. 

Finn rolled his eyes and sighted, " Poe, you don't have a girlfriend." He said. " We get the gist, though. Now, could we please hurry out of here?" Rey told her too friends, she was beginning to grow tired of their talking and nothing going on between them, she was growing impatient but didn't want to push her friends. They could not be interested in each other, after all. " Someone's not really happy." Poe whispered to Finn, as Rey turned to look at them and shot Poe an ice cold frown. 

There was a loud and base- like sound coming from above, in the cloudy skies of Kijimi, and as thunder rumbled and lightning stroke, the three resistance heroes could make out the shapes of incoming star destroyers. Dammit! They found us! Rey told herself as she hurried down the cobble streets, speeding towards their ship. " Poe... We're going to have to speed the hell out of here when we get there!" She told her friend loudly as he nodded. 

Rey abruptly stopped, and her companions almost slid right into her back as they tried not to slip with the snowy rocks below them. " Rey... We have no time, why are you stopping?!" Finn exclaimed as he put a hand on her shoulder. Rey didn't reply, she was busy concentrating in the energy around her, feeling a familiar disturbance in the force near them. 

Y/n... could it be? She thought to herself as she began running towards a different direction than that of their ship.

" What now?!!" Poe exclaimed as he followed Rey and Finn down the alley they had ran off into. " Isn't it enough to have a small fleet of star destroyer about to come blast us, but you want to stay on the city for more time!" 

The group had arrived on a street leveled above an alley, and Rey stared at the scene that had just unraveled below, followed by the glances of Poe and Finn. Something, or rather someone, they had never expected to see.

Y/n.

She was knelt down on her knees, and the trio could clearly distinguish the stains of blood on the white, snow covered ground were not coming from the lifeless body of a Dathomirian, but rather from their ex comrade, a girl they had all called friend for so long, and still wanted to, but she had made it clear she stood with the enemy. 

" What the hell-" Finn exclaimed as a man with a helmet tied y/n's hands to her back and dragged started dragging her away from the scene of the crime. The trio remained silent for many minutes, looking down at the dead Dathomirian on the street below them.

" That was y/n, wasn't it, Rey?" Poe asked, even if he already knew the answer to that. " You felt her presence? The disruption in the force? That's why you ran over here?" 

Rey didn't answer, she fell to her knees and grabbed a handful of snow, throwing it aggressively in front of her as a couple tears rolled down her cheeks. " Why did it have to be her? She's young, and innocent. And she was forced into this war, and now, she's taken someone's life-" She muttered, until no more words came out. " We know Rey, we know. Y/n is strong, you must know that better than anyone, you were her mentor." Finn said, trying to make his friend feel better. 

" You know she can survive, no matter what she will be faced to now. But you must also remember what she told us, not to come back for her." Poe said, helping Rey up and looking at the sky, making sure it wasn't too late to escape.

" You know she never meant it. When I saw her face once she took off the helmet of Snoke's bodyguard, I knew the person standing in front of me was my friend, not the one that willingly chose the dark side." Rey replied, taking deep breaths.

" Not to alarm you, or anything, but, we should go..." Finn said, tugging on his companion's clothing as he eyed the sky, and yelling could be heard from blocks away. The trio ran back to their ship, and Poe didn't hesitate to take off and leave Kijimi without looking back, while Rey studied the dagger.

" I don't know what came over me." She mumbled. " To let myself be weak like that. I know weakness is human, but I shouldn't let my emotions get the best of me." She told no one in specific. " I just wasn't ready to see y/n so soon, or ever actually. Being her mentor, she trusted me, and I trusted her, it's- heartbreaking." Finn sat next to Rey and wrapped his arms around her. " Many odd things have happened lately Rey, we understand your not in your best state of mind right now."

 Rey nodded and stood up, leaving towards the sleeping cabin of the Millennium Falcon, and Finn took a seat in the cockpit next to Poe, who was piloting the ship, preparing for a jump into hyperspace. " She didn't take it well." He whispered to Poe, and he nodded. " It's weird, you know? Everything is... not normal. I mean, it hasn't been for a while, but especially now. Just give her time to rest, Rey's been through so much lately." Poe replied as the ship started shaking.

" I know. And seeing her ex apprentice, with a dead body and a bounty hunter mustn't have been easy for her. Do you have any idea what may have happened with y/n? How did she even end up there?" Finn asked.

Poe sighted deeply as the ship went into lightspeed. " I don't know, but what I'm almost certain is that some bad things are happening in this war right now, and I'm afraid to think y/n has a great role to play in all this."

80 Chapters.... NO WAY.

For the celebration ( not really ) of the 80th chapter, I have decided to make it into a dialogue one. A lot of people really enjoy dialogue chapters, so this is for you :)

Whilst others don't, but do not worry, for more interesting chapters are to come...

I was exhausted while writing this, and I revised it, while still being really tired, so I'm not 100% trusting with the quality of the chapter... but it's not bad, I actually quite like it! It was time to hear from the resistance a little bit, I guess.
