/ First Person Protagonist POV /
Kylo's hugging grip on my shoulders had lightened as his hot breath left my neck, and we both knew we would have to return inside very soon. I closed my eyes, trying to soak in the last bits of the sun before it would begin setting and enjoyed the last moments in the arms of the man I loved, and who I suspected loved me back.
" Yes, it would be nice to be here, forever. Away from everything." I sighted as I walked towards the edge of the balcony. " Lake country sure is beautiful and all..."
" But?.." Kylo muttered, interrupting me, knowing there was more that I had to say, and he was right about that. " But Kylo, it's all surreal. You're the Supreme Leader of the Final Order, and I'm a Knight of Ren. You know we can't just throw that away and start new lives away from the galactic conflict, especially not now." I whispered, knowing Kylo had walked closer to me.
He leaned both his forearms on the marble edge. " I know." He spat hatefully. " When all of this is over, I'm telling you, y/n. I will keep my oath." He added confidently, smiling a little bit towards me. If all of this will ever be over, I sighted mentally, but I smiled back.
" Do you not believe me?" He asked, placing one of his gloved hands behind my back and stroking it gently.
" I-..." I began saying, but truth be told, I didn't know if I believed him or not. I had very often accredited Kylo's word, and I trusted him with my life, but what he was offering was something like no other, it seemed so impossible to accomplish.
" Don't reply, y/n. I apologize for coming at you with such difficult questions." He interrupted me with a little side smile. " I know it sounds impossible to believe, but mark my words. If it is in this life or the next, or whenever, I know destiny put us together for a reason, and it will continue to do so." He muttered, staring back out into Naboo's sun that was beginning to hide behind the mountains in the horizon.
" Don't go all poetic on me now, Kylo." I tried joking to divert the subject of conversation. " It has been a while since I have taken the time to read some poetry, so I won't understand a word you're saying." He laughed a little bit and shook his head in disbelief, " I have troubles believing that. You're the smartest person I know."
I sat on the edge of the marble balcony and swung my feet front and back, placing my hand on his, which was resting on the edge as well. " Did I hear right? Or is Kylo Ren admitting he knows someone smarter than he is?" I joked. " You're right. I apologize." Kylo mocked back, clearing his throat. " Y/N: you are the second brightest person I know, after me of course."
Punching Kylo's arm playfully, I laughed and threw my head back, making strands of my hair fall all over my face. Damn, I'm in an urgent need of cutting it, I noted mentally.
" I like hearing you laugh." Kylo told me, shifting the tone of the conversation from joking to more serious and romantic.
A light blush had established on my cheeks as I stood back up and closer to him, his hand going to my back once more, pulling me closer towards him as we both stared at the sunset.
" Supreme Leader, sir." Came a timid voice from a couple meters behind us, and I felt the swift movement of Kylo's hand retreating from my back. Why does everyone always have the worse timings. I lamented as I fixed my posture and stepped a couple feet behind Kylo and to his right. He didn't turn around, but I did.
The person who had called him was Leone Odan, the nurse that had been on my watch while I had arrived on The Finalizer wounded from my fight with Givu Djarggi. What is she doing here? I pondered as I stared at her suspiciously, forgetting I didn't have my helmet on me. I don't recall Leone being on the ship that got us to Naboo.
Even if Leone was a nice young woman, I couldn't help but feel suspicious of her, why would she even be here? A nurse. And why did she come get Kylo? Questions buzzed through my mind as I could see Kylo and Leone exchange a few words before he left my side and walked into the marble building, leaving me and Leone alone on the balcony.
" Ma'am y/n." She almost whispered as she paced towards me.
" It's not ma'am anymore, Leone Odan. I do not hold such titled position." I told her, fixing my posture and making my voice sound heartless. " It's Knight y/n of Ren." How odd is it to say that. Sounds almost like me and Kylo are married, I commented to myself as I addressed with my new status, having to use the surname Ren after my name.
" Oh, please pardon me." Leone corrected herself as she paced near, but still keeping a safe distance between the two of us. " Why are you here, Leone?" I asked her doubtfully, but it had come out rude.
" I- ummm..." She babbled, which made her look suspicious. She's probably just nervous to be around me, I supposed. After all, it isn't every day someone talks to a Knight of Ren. " As I had told you weeks ago, Knight y/n of Ren," she began saying, addressing my title firmly. " I do not know if you still remember, when I told you I was from Naboo." She muttered, as if she was afraid someone might be overhearing this conversation.
" I maybe have convinced the medics to take me instead of the nurse they were originally planning on bringing?" She said very fast, her whole body was trembling after saying that. " I just- wanted to see my home planet. Please don't tell anyone, Knight y/n of Ren! I do not mean any trouble, I just wanted to come back home!" She pleaded.
" Have you never wanted to return to your planet after not seeing it for years?" She asked, trying to obtain my empathy. I looked away and back at the sunset, I had forgotten that Leone didn't know about my amnesia. " No." I simply said, shaking my head.
" But that is not the only reason why I came here, Knight y/n of Ren." Leone whispered as she appeared next to me on the balcony.
I turned to face her with a puzzled look on my face I tried my best to brush off, but her words had caught me completely off-guard. " What are you trying to say?" I asked her, intrigued. Leone's honey colored eyes looked around the area before her gaze met mine once more, and she sighted. " I overheard some generals talking two weeks ago. I believe it was General Pryde, the Supreme Commander of the Final Order military? Have you met him?" She asked me, and I shook my head 'no'.
" Well, they think you're the spy..." She whispered. Wow, tell me something I don't know. I rolled my eyes mentally. What need do I have to be reminded that more than half of the First Order's generals want my severed head on a bounty trophy wall?! " I know it's wrong, Knight y/n of Ren for me to be telling you this, but I believe you deserve to know." Leone whispered, leaning in to tell me in an even more hushed tone.
" Just tell me already Leone! I do not have all evening!" I exclaimed, getting a little annoyed by the suspense.
Leone breathed heavily for the next couple minutes before addressing to me again, " I overhead him talking about an order from Supreme Leader Kylo Ren: they want you dead, and you're walking right into their trap."

Only I know... for now....
When protagonist said it sounded as if she was married to Kylo, I was like.... HONEY YES.
I hope you liked this chapter! I had a little problem, because silly me got my chapter organization paper confused and missed an event that was supposed to happen two chapters ago, ( I'm supposing), So I needed time to reorganize it to include it in the next couple ones... Not to worry, I've got everything under control... I hope.
Have the most wonderful day or night! And happy almost Valentines day! I know that for February 14, I will most likely stay at home and eat chocolate, watch movies with Adam Driver in them and celebrate my cats' birthday... H O W F U N. How about all of you? Have any secret or public valentine?
Best regards,
- Camille
