I couldn't stop smiling.

I was sad to have left Carlac without Aro, Pha Stett, and Din, but I couldn't hide the joy that knowing I was going back to the resistance brought me. I would be seeing Rey, Finn, Poe, and general Leia once more, and it wasn't until now that I had realized how much I truly missed them.

Ajan Kloss... I hummed mentally. " The Candemimu sector mustn't be very far away from Carlac, but this ship is old." I sighed, leaning back against the pilot seat. " All the ships I've used lately always have such a small cockpit. They remind me of an escape pod."

It was true, there was barely enough space to move, and the lid of the cockpit was too low to stand up properly. It was only the crescent shaped control panel taking a majority of space, the pilot bench that luckily could turn in place, and not even a yard of space behind.

It could be worse. At least it's not all that uncomfortable. It's quite cozy... For a cockpit. I chuckled and leaned back on the pilot seat. " Okay. I've got no idea where I'm heading right now, I should probably pay attention."

I toyed around with the control panel, truth was I didn't really know how to pilot this craft, it seemed old, like from the time of the galactic empire type of old. Why am I so surprised though? Pha Stett relocated to Carlac when the empire was established. This must be the ship she used. Pha Stett must've only been a Padawan! Escaping the Jedi purge at such a young age... How frightening.

" What an admirable woman." I sighed in awe. " I'm so glad I learned from her."

I took the controls of the ship as it neared a small asteroid field, navigating peacefully through the gigantic rocks. This is perfect. I'll jump into lightspeed once I have a clear surrounding. I noted. I'm surprised nothing has happened. By now, I would've been ready to flee a star destroyer, a couple tie fighters or something of that sort.

" Well now I need a plan, don't I?" I told myself. Even if in my mind, I would be planning what I'd do next, my eyes where focused on the asteroid field I was in. As the Crimson Hunter, I had learned the hard way that criminals and pirates liked to prey on passing by ships since the huge asteroids provided useful cover for ambushes.

" I just hope that the probability of pirates hiding here is very low." I huffed, getting a little tired that things like that always kept happening.

Man, there's nothing to do. I rolled my eyes at how boring it was to pilot through slow asteroids. " Maybe I wouldn't mind pirates trying to raid the ship. At least I'd have company." I chuckled.

It hadn't been long, but I missed everyone I had left back in Carlac. Pha Stett, who I would've loved to learn and hear more stories from than I could. Aro, who could cook like a professional chef and brought me the reassuring feeling of having an older brother figure, and Din, who I considered my best friend and trusted comrade, and the child, who was the cutest creature I'd ever seen, and had to be protected at all costs. Even D8-X2 was beggining to feel missed by me.

I still can't believe I didn't think about saying goodbye to Din! I feel so guilty! I let out a loud exhale. " At least he came, and that's what matters." I shook my head. Now focus, y/n. It may be boring, but only a few more minutes and Ajan Kloss will be one light speed flight away.

One light speed flight away...

It seemed too good, too easy to be true, like I couldn't be possible to arrive at the resistance with so much ease, even if I trusted Vizsla had told me the right location. A force ghost had no reason to lie to me, especially not him. But nothing had ever been this simple before, and it was odd to think I would arrive at Ajan Kloss so trouble free.
