The Force in Redemption

Hello there!

So, this is it. The end of the story of y/n from Carlac and Kylo Ren redeemed to Ben Solo.

It has truly been an amazing experience to write and finish a fan fiction for the first time ever, and a long one, that is! 150 chapters... I remember thinking it would only be about 20 chapters long... But it has progressed so much, and I'm proud of what I've accomplished. 

Damn, I'm almost feeling nostalgic...

Even though I did the writing, I couldn't have done it without the love and support that all of you have given me since the beginning of The Force in Redemption. Sometimes I felt like giving up, abandoning this story, or deleting it to never start it again, and yet I continued, mostly because of the kindness I received from it. Writing this story eventually turned into a hobby- a passion, and I couldn't be more happy. 

Thank you to all of my readers that have stuck with me since the first time I published, way back towards the end of December, and to all the readers that have joined over time. You are the best!!!

Writing The Force in Redemption has definitely been an important event in my life, and finishing it feels surreal, almost impossible. And yet, after 150 chapters of tears, lightsaber fights, loving words, discoveries, and lets not forget: stab wounds and ship crashes, the story has finally arrived at a close.

There is one doubt that some of you might have, which I would like to clarify: how the hell did y/n come back to life?!

You might've already found out by now, that it was the force ghosts that revived her, after two long months of trying. But how did they do that? You see, she gave her essence to save Ben, she passed on her life force towards him, only to be left with her spiritual force. 

The thing is, her life force was still alive, within Ben. He kept her alive, in some way. That is why the force ghosts were able to revive y/n. By reconnecting her life to her spiritual force, which had been separated, creating her physical body once again.

Of course, this does not mean they've taken the life force from Ben, that would mean he'd be dead. They connected Ben and y/n. While Rey's life force was 'killed' by Palpatine, Ben gave his life force to her. Meaning Rey has Ben's life force, and y/n and Ben share y/n's life force.

Yes, this means if either y/n or Ben die, the other will die as well. But hey, that means they got to live with each other until death tore them apart, even though it can't really separate them, since they share the same life force. 

And who knows? Maybe Ben and y/n will be together as force ghosts when their time comes. Reunited once more in the Netherworld.
