Where am I? I looked around, vision blurry, a white mist encapsulating me in a field of view with a radius of ten feet. I stumbled blindly, my ears sensing a sound in the distance. As I grew closer I realized it was screaming. I began to run, but I felt so weighed down. I found an apartment, my apartment. I fell against the door, collapsing through to the floor. I slowly lifted my head. There was blood everywhere. My vision began to blur. I pulled myself to my feet slowly, dragging myself along the wall. I came to the kitchen. A figure lay in a heap on the floor. My eyes moved to the mass of dusty pink hair, soaked in blood. My gaze followed the blood to another figure, laying on their back, sad smile facing the sky. My parents were dead.

I woke up suddenly, the memory already in the process of being processed. I couldn't forget this one though. Getting ready as quickly as I could, I tried to push the dream back so I could move on with my day.
I couldn't have been more excited to meet up with Naruto and Sasuke. As I tore down the street to Naruto's house, I clutched in my hand my new very special precious object that I was going to cherish forever. I skidded to a stop in front of Naruto's door and banged my fist against it. Naruto quickly answered.
"Oh, hey, Sakura!" He beamed back at me as I leaped onto him in a hug.
"Why are you so excited?" Sasuke sighed, walking up next to us.
"I have something special to show you!" I sang as I closed the door behind us.
We all moved to sit at Naruto's table, me making sure to have my chair right next to Naruto's so that I could lean against him. Sasuke rolled his eyes at this.
"So," Sasuke mumbled, " what is this 'special' thing you want to show us?"
"Yeah!" Naruto nodded enthusiastically, "what is it?"
I leaned back and gestured to my neck where a black choker was tied, a single red stone shaped like a petal dangling from it.
"It's my sealing necklace!" I declared with little jazz hands.
Both boys looked at me in confusion.
"Ugh!" I sighed and rolled my eyes dramatically, "when someone starts their path to become a sealing master, they are given a necklace to show what level they're at."
Naruto and Sasuke still looked confused.
"There are different levels of sealing," I continued to explain, "each has its own difficulty and the necklace shows what you can do as well as gives you access to certain tools."
"Oh, so it's a status thing." Sasuke concluded.
"Kind of?" I shrugged.
"That's so cool Sakura!" Naruto hugged me, "What can you do?"
"Paper bomb stuff, a few other things," I propped my head on my hands, "nothing exciting though," I whined.
"I'm sure you'll level up in no time!" Naruto encouraged me. I ruffled his hair.
"Of course I will!" I confidently declared, "And you both will get stronger too!"
"Oh, about that," Naruto got out of his seat and began digging through a shelf until he turned around with a book about chakra control.
"Um?" I was confused.
"It's the book you gave me a month ago!" he smiled shyly, "I finished it!"
He then held out a notebook.
"I even did notes, see!"
My eyes immediately lit up. This sweet child tried so hard for me! I took the book back and pulled him into another big hug.
"I am so proud of you!"
"Yeah... um, I mean. It was nothing... just took me a little while." He mumbled sheepishly.
"It took you that long to read that book?" Sasuke asked incredulously. I shot him a nasty look as Naruto whipped around angrily. I turned Naruto back to look at me.
"You are doing great, baby!" I squished his cheeks together, "Understand?"
"Y-yeah." I then pointedly turned to Sasuke.
"And you, be nice. Being nasty isn't gonna get you anywhere." I scolded. Sasuke scoffed and looked off to the side. "Anyways! Let's make lunch!"
I walked into Naruto's kitchen and got out the ingredients to make grilled cheese and tomato soup. Naruto and Sasuke looked at me in curiosity as I began greasing up a pan with butter. Once it was hot enough, I began toasting the bread.
'What are ya making?" Naruto leaned over my shoulder.
"Grilled cheese!"
"What's that?" Sasuke leaned against the counter next to the stove.
"A type of sandwich! You guys will love it!" I gave Sasuke a cheeky smile as I saw him pick up a tomato, "and I'm making tomato soup, which I'm sure you'll love Sasuke." I laughed as I saw him quickly put down the tomato with an embarrassed blush.
"I don't know what you're talking about." he mumbled. Dang, everyone's stealing my catchphrase!
I continued to cook as Naruto stood behind me a little awkwardly. I turned to him and smiled.
"You can hug me from behind if you want! You'll be like a real husband."
"Wha- O-okay..." he carefully stood behind me, pausing for a bit before slowly lifting his arms and reaching them around me. He gently stepped closer to me and rested his head on my shoulder. My heart fluttered happily as I felt him relax.
"See, you're okay," I cooed. Sasuke rolled his eyes again and walked off.
We spent a while like that. Me humming over the pan as I grilled the sandwiches, Naruto hugging me from behind and watching me. Sasuke sat at the table, acting like an edge lord. Soon enough I began singing.
"Be our guest. Be our guest. Put our service to the test!" I swayed a little as I sang in English.
"Sakura, what are you doing?" Naruto asked, quirking an eyebrow.
"I'm singing!" I sang before going back to the song.
"That isn't Japanese," Sasuke sounded much louder than he should've been. I turned to see him leaning against the island.
"Um... what are you talking about?" I said innocently.
"How are you doing that?" Naruto insisted, "what are those words?"
"Oh, it's um... sealing stuff!" I decided on, "I'm singing to help me remember some sealing stuff."
"Why wouldn't it be in Japanese?" Sasuke tilted his head a little. Adorable.
"Because sealing stuff is... ancient! And it's from an older language." I turned around with the food prepared, distracting the boys from their line of questioning. We all returned to the table and began to tuck in.
"Wow!" Naruto exclaimed around his food, "this is great!"
"Yeah it... is actually really good," Sasuke chuckled, "thank you, Sakura."
Oh. My. God. He thanked me! That's what I call progress!
"Yea! I'm glad you guys like it!" I put a hand to my chin in thought, "I should really have Hina and everyone else get together for a big cookout or something. She's really good in the kitchen as well."
"Yeah?" Naruto looked over at me, "Well if she's nearly as good as you are I won't say no!"
"Oh, no, she is... ARGH! Her rice!" I threw my head back in exasperation when I realized I haven't had her rice in months, "I need to find that bitch and have her make some!"
"Guess it's really good then?" Sasuke raised an eyebrow.
"YES!" I slammed my hands on the table. "God, I can't wait..."
"Well, for now, I'm happy with your food Sakura!" Naruto grinned at me.
"Yeah, me too," Sasuke nodded.
I love these guys.
