"How long did it take you guys to get there last time?" Kiba asked over his shoulder as we walked through the heavily wooded forest of the Land of Fire.
"A couple of days." I sighed, eyes scanning the towering woods that stretched to the bright blue sky.
Kiba hummed, "You mean like two, or a 'couple'?"
"Huh?" I glared at his back.
He once again looked over his shoulder, "Sometimes when people say 'a couple' they mean like a small number like 2-4, but it technically only means 2."
I groaned, "I mean two, moron."
Kiba frowned, "I want to make sure I know how long it's actually going to take." He turned around pointedly, "I'd be calling you the moron for not informing me of an extra day of travel."
"Y'know, it's kind of hard to take you seriously with Lipstick on your head." I commented snidely.
Kiba pointed at her, "She's staying up there. She wouldn't be able to keep pace, and there's a snowball's chance in hell that you'd carry her the whole way."
Okay, he had a point there, "Looks ridiculous, though."
He simply flipped me the bird without looking back.
We walked for a while in silence, and I busied myself with trying to spot wildlife with my Sharingan. I got bored of that after a while, and thought better than to drain myself, worry beginning to build in my mind instead.
"Are Yui and I going to have problems?" I asked.
"Yes." Kiba answered quickly and bluntly. I tensed for a moment, that being not what I wanted to hear until he followed it up, "All relationships are going to have problems."
"I meant it more specifically." I sassed.
"Then you should've worded it more specifically." he sassed back.
"Okay professor," I snarked, "Jeez, you shove a dictionary up your ass or something?"
Kiba chuckled, "You ever looked at one?"
I pouted for a moment before deciding to reword my question, "Yui is mad at me, should I be worried about that?"
He sighed, "I mean, everyone gets mad, especially with couples. You only should be worried if you handle it wrong. With some tact and an attitude adjustment, you should be fine."
"Okay, cool, but I don't know how to handle it correctly." I admitted.
He slowed his pace to fall in step next to me, "So, what're you worried about?"
"I know I made her mad, and it's because of how I was treating people." I explained, "She's being mad for other people I guess, who knows, maybe she isn't happy with how I'm treating her too, but I don't know how to fix that." I looked to him hopefully, "Did you ever make Hinata mad?"
He blinked, looking off as he tried to remember, "I don't think I ever made her that mad; it was more like I'd annoy her and then immediately stop and apologize when she'd snap at me or get moody." he smiled, "Naw, I just had to deal with her when she was upset at other things mainly; my job was to not make it worse."
"Well, how'd you deal with that?" I pressed. I really needed any advice I could get at this point.
"I just had to be there for her. I couldn't force it, or else she'd feel smothered and get agitated. I had to be patient for when she felt good enough to confide in me, and then I just had to be myself." he shrugged.
