I was pulled from the wonderful embrace of sleep once again when I felt small hands gently shaking my shoulder. I let out a dissatisfied groan. Existence was pain. My brain was foggy, and I felt vaguely nauseous. I limply threw an arm out to stop the disturbing stimulus, my hand landing against someone's face.
"Prima?"
I opened my eye slightly to see I was currently pressing my palm into my sister's face. I let my arm fall back to the bed.
"M'Sorry." I mumbled, "Wh' is it?"
"Are you okay?" she looked at me with so much concern that I started to become more alert.
"Huh?" I propped myself up on an arm, "Oh... yeah, I'm fine." I slowly sat up and stretched. I was stiff all over again now from sleeping so well, so much for my drinking strategy. I stood up, stumbling a little from being dizzy. Hanabi grabbed my sleeve.
"Hinata!" she looked up at me alarmed, "What is it?"
"I'm just sleepy." I smiled down at her, "I simply need a moment to wake up." Her concern didn't disappear though.
"Do you need help walking? Should I get Neji?" she asked.
"Oh, god, don't get Neji." I groaned as I massaged my temples, "Just, gimme a moment." I walked clumsily over to my closet, staring blankly into it. I then looked down at what I was wearing. Large, long-sleeved t-shirt and skinny legged pants seemed suitable enough to me. I paused as I grabbed the closet door. I slept in these clothes right? I shrugged to myself. I wasn't going anywhere anyways; no one would know.
I sighed inwardly; I was acting like a college student. Did I really let myself get hung over? I should've known better. Obviously Hinata wouldn't have the amazing alcohol tolerance of my past self... yet. I massaged my eye. All I needed to do was make sure Neji didn't find out, and I would be fine.
Hanabi watched me as I closed the closet door.
"Do you want breakfast?" I asked, walking out of my room.
"Um... yeah." Hanabi followed me out. I walked out to see Neji reading a book at the table.
"Glad to see you're finally awake." he didn't look up from his book, "You don't normally sleep in this long."
"I'm surprised you didn't bust into my room to bother me." I smirked at the oven as I turned it on.
"Well, you had your friend in there apparently, so I guess I just assumed that she would've made sure you stayed alive." Neji shrugged, turning the page of his book.
"Don't overestimate Sakura." I laughed.
"Speaking of which, why did she run off like that?" Neji asked absentmindedly, "She seemed to be in a hurry."
"I'm not sure actually. She didn't explain anything." I paused, looking out of the window.
I'm not sure why I did it. I guess I just felt compelled to. To my surprise, I saw Sasuke tearing down the street, a scary look on his face. I stared for a moment, my sudden silence causing Neji to double take at me.
"Hinata?" his eyes flickered between the window and me, "Are you feeling alright?"
It finally clicked for me what was going on, and I dropped everything that I was doing, grabbing my keys and bolting outside.
"Make Hanabi breakfast." I shouted as I flew through the door, not even bothering to put on my shoes.
I made it outside just as Sasuke was about to go out of sight. Good, now all I needed to do was follow him without having him find out.
