"So, what do you think?" I asked apprehensively as Shino carefully examined the lemon square that he had just sampled.

Shino's brow creased pensively as he chewed. I felt like he must have been trying to tease me with how long he stayed silent before he finally looked at me with a thumbs up, "It's good."

I pouted at him, and he quirked a brow, "What? It's good."

I turned away from him, "You're so mean to me."

I let out a surprised yelp when I felt his arm snake around my torso, pulling me to him, "Am I?"

I tried to turn away from him, refusing to answer.

He leaned over so he was looking directly down at me, "Am I mean to you?"

"Very." I huffed, but couldn't help but crack a smile. I reached up to push his face away, but he grabbed my hand instead.

"The lemon squares are very good though." he smiled, "I'm surprised the Raikage hasn't written you back yet. Then again," he leaned back, "He could be using you to get more lemon squares."

I sat bolt upright with an outraged huff, "He totally is! Oh my gosh!"

Shino chuckled, "Who knows, maybe he'll write back soon."

I let out a groan, laying my head on Shino's legs, "I'm tired of waiting for everything though! The Raikage, the exams, my jounin status..."

"Good things come to tho-"

"Shut up..." I grumbled.

Shino patted me on the face with a smirk, "Calm down now..."

I glanced over to the side when I heard the sound of someone coming down the stairs. Sasuke's head poked into the living room where he grimaced at me and Shino on the couch, "Gross."

"Have you kissed Yui yet!?" I called out to him.

His eyes widened, face going beet read as he pointedly looked away and marched over to the front door to leave.

We both waited for the door to close before we both burst out laughing.

"And here I was thinking that I was going to be the most awkward guy when it came to this stuff." Shino shook his head with a smile.

"You really aren't." I agreed, "Sasuke is a complete disaster."

"Even Kiba can't seem to talk about romance." Shino sighed.

"I know, right?" I smirked, "He hates talking about himself and Hina; he gets all blushy and cute."

"We have our moments though." Shino conceded.

"Fair." I nodded, sitting up slightly when I heard the front door open again. My mood immediately turned when I saw one of my guards peer into the living room, letter in hand, "You aren't allowed inside." I growled.

"Letter from the Hokage." he simply stated, setting it down on the coffee table and walking out.

I picked up the letter and opened it, "It's just another summons." I grumbled, "Says it's urgent as always."

"Who knows Sakura," Shino hummed, "It could be one of those 'good things'."

I thought for a moment before deciding that his more optimistic route was the better one to take, "You're right!" I jumped to my feet confidently, "Thanks Shino, feel free to stay as long as you want and eat the lemon squares."

He nodded, "Good luck." he gave a small wave as I ran out to see what Lady Tsunade had for me this time.
