"Lipstick!" I commanded, "Speak!"

Silence.

Sasuke peeked into my room for what must have been the fifth time, glaring at me with a scrutinizing look, "Why are you screaming at your dog?"

"I'm trying  to talk to her!" I huffed, crossing my arms and sitting heavily down on my bed.

"It sounds like you're trying to talk to the whole town with how loud you're being." Sasuke scoffed, "I hope your house arrest is almost over because it clearly isn't good for you."

"Yeah." I sassed, "It isn't!"

Sasuke rolled his eyes, "Well, I'm going to train before I go crazy listening to you."

With that, he left the doorway, and I listened with disappointment as he descended the stairs and left through the front door.

"Where are you going?" I heard one of the guards say.

"Fuck you." I heard the snippy reply, and then silence.

That made me smile at least.

I flopped down fully on my bed; I really needed to be outside. With a groan, I rolled off of my bed, picked up Lipstick, and stomped down the stairs.

Cracking open my front door, I peered out at my guards, "I want to play with Lipstick in my backyard."

They both nodded and moved to go to the back.

With a sigh, I closed the door and moved to my backdoor, walking into my fully fenced backyard.

I sat down with a huff, peering up at my window and admiring once again how Hina had managed to get up there with Neji. Turning, back to my dog, I made eye contact with her once again, "Speak!"

Nothing.

"C'mon!" I leaned forward angrily, "I know you have plenty to talk about!"

...

"Did I do something wrong?" I wailed, "Why won't you talk to me!?"

These exercises were clearly going nowhere, "Maybe I have to put it in words that you can understand!"

This led into several minutes of me barking at my dog in a desperate attempt to get her to do anything but sit there and stare at me. My voice was beginning to grow hoarse from my efforts, and my guards seemed to be growing increasingly worried about me.

"Hey, Sakura, what the hell are you doing?" A voice from across my yard got my attention, and I looked up to see Kiba peeking over the fence with a confused grin.

"Do you know this kid?" one of my guards asked, and I could see the other reach for the sheath of his knife.

"Touch him and you die." I growled.

"Who are these squares?" Kiba asked, glaring at one of the guards.

"The new banes of my existence." I groaned dramatically.

"Hm." he maintained his glare for a moment before looking back at me, "Why are you shouting at your dog?"

"I'm trying to talk to her, but she won't talk back!" I threw my hands up in exasperation, "I got desperate!"

"Yeah, 'desperate' is definitely the right word." he winced, "Let me guess-"

"House arrest." we said at the same time.

Kiba let out a laugh, "You know that you can actually learn to communicate with your dog, right?"

I gasped, "Really!?"
