Thoughts raced through my head in time with my pacing, incessant and endless. It had to be around the time for the Kazekage to be kidnapped, right? I should probably go and attempt to stop the kidnapping, right? But there was no easy way to break to my companions that I was leaving, especially with one of them so shy in her position of power.

I stilled as Karin sighed at me, "What's bothering you now? Are the lab rats not behaving again?"

"No," I denied, "They are becoming excellent shinobi. This is something... more serious."

"Yeah, more serious than our system of protection?" Suigetsu scoffed.

"Can it, Spaghetti-O's." I snapped. Suigetsu frowned at the name, but shrugged it off, going back to his paperwork.

"Hina." Karin waved me over, and I leaned up against the desk, "Just tell me what's going on, okay?"

"It's..." I winced, "It's not good news."

Jugo's head perked up; he did have a better idea of my intentions than the others did to be fair.

"Spit it out." Suigetsu ordered.

"I think I need to leave." I stated.

Karin dropped the papers she was holding to her desk, glancing up at me wide-eyed, "What does that mean?"

"It better not mean what I think it means." Suigetsu scowled.

I pinched the bridge of my nose, "There's an organization that is about to enact a program that will try to bring about some kind of end of the world nonsense okay?" I tried to explain, "I need to go and try and stop it from happening."

"You can't leave!" Karin stood up in a panic, "I need you here!"

"Babe, please," I begged, "You have been doing such a good job of leading so far; you don't need me anymore."

"That's not true!" she shook her head in denial, "You help out so much; I need you for emotional support!"

I cringed, dammit, I was hoping she wasn't going to play that card, "I'm going to miss you guys too, but you need to understand that if I can stop what's about to happen the whole world will benefit."

"Why does it have to be you!?" Suigetsu shouted angrily, "Why can't someone else do it!?"

"Because only a few people know what's going to happen!" I answered, feeling my heart begin to race at how agitated they both were getting.

"Why?" Karin asked desperately.

"I can't tell you why I know; I just do." I offered.

Suigetsu sat down on the floor heavily, "That isn't fair." he griped in a much quieter voice.

My gaze softened, "I know this is sudden, and I probably should've told you guys earlier... but I knew this would be hard." I sighed, "I don't really want to leave either... but..."

"Then why do it?" Suigetsu asked bitterly.

"Life isn't about doing what you want." Jugo finally voiced.

Karin shook her head, "It's not fair. I don't want to do this alone."

"But you're not alone." I asserted, "Suigetsu's here."

"That's not the same." Suigetsu, surprisingly enough, admitted, "I'm not as good at this stuff as you are."

"You guys just aren't willing to see what you've been able to accomplish without my involvement." I argued.
