I drummed my fingers on the table nervously as the girls across from me ordered their tea. Yui smiled at me softly as she left to put in the orders.
"It's been a while since we've met up like this." Ino smiled.
Tenten nodded in agreement, "Yes, it's nice. Things are finally starting to feel kinda normal again."
I laughed to myself, obviously not being able to relate due to the various village changing things I've done in the past months, even the past week.
Ino smiled, almost seeming to read my mind, "Well, probably not for you."
"Yeah, well," I shrugged, "Things for me are always kinda crazy."
"Boy crazy even?" Ino teased, leaning forward with a mischievous grin.
"Ooo," Tenten leaned over excitedly, "What's that all about?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." I said for the first time, genuinely.
"C'mon, I can tell." Ino smirked, "You've been a lot happier and blushier recently."
"Oh, it's definitely a boy." Tenten nodded in agreement.
"Who is it, huh?" Ino pressed, bouncing excitedly.
"I'll tell you if you tell me who you're crushing on right now." I accused, "I saw you with Kiba at my birthday party!"
Tenten gasped, "Ino! Moving in on Hinata's boyfriend!?"
"No!" she held up her hands defensively, pouting at me, "That wasn't what I was doing! I mean, yeah, he's cute, but he started talking to me, and I wanted to find out what was going on in his head!"
Tenten frowned. I dare say she looked a little jealous, "Man, you always get all the dates."
"C'mon!" Ino huffed, "It's not my fault that he talked to me!"
"Admit it." Tenten smirked, "You were into it."
Ino flushed bright red.
"Wait!?" I shouted, "You like him!?"
"No!" she waved her hands again, "No! Nothing like that! It was just a really nice time, and he's super sweet!"
"Aw!" Tenten cooed, "He's a sweet boy, huh?"
I couldn't help but laugh, "Damn, he was enough to impress you?"
"Yeah," Tenten continued with a dramatic eye roll, "He's no Sasuke."
"I still like Sasuke!" Ino pouted, "It's just that I could appreciate Kiba's company."
"To be fair," I directed at Tenten, "Kiba has a lot more social skills than Sasuke, but Sasuke is getting better with that."
Tenten hummed, "Really? I guess I don't know either of them that well." she conceded.
Ino, still blushing madly, smiled slightly, "Did you notice how they're all getting taller now?"
"Yes!" I scoffed, "I feel like the world around me is expanding and nothing about me is changing!"
"Some of them are getting more muscular now too." Tenten sighed dreamily.
Ino poked her arm playfully, "Some girls are too."
Tenten blushed, "It takes muscle to handle weapons." She turned pointedly to me, "Right, Sakura?"
"Yep!" I agreed.
Yui walked over with our tea, smiling at me, "So, when are you going to ask him out?"
