Someone Get This Man a Coffee

I barely perceived my now routine morning shamble up the stairs to my office, miraculously avoiding the eminent disaster of stumbling and falling back down to the first floor. It wasn't like I could fall though, as I could tell that the resident pain-in-my-ass was following only a few steps behind me.

The door was opened for me, who cares by who, and I at last collapsed into my seat, quite nearly falling asleep again. I smacked my hand down on the desk, hearing the crumpling of papers beneath it; great, that felt like at least two hours worth of paperwork. Cracking open an eye to confirm what I dreaded, yep, there was a decent size stack of documents sitting before me.

With a sigh, I reached out and picked one up, scanning it to realize, once again to my excitement, that I was going to have to read through a lot of diplomacy letters. This would inevitably lead me to having a chat with the council, which would then lead me to have to make some sort of decision about who I'd see when, and then I'd have to deal with more ceremonies and meetings and talking.

"Kakashi?"

Speaking of talking, which was what I was not in the mood for, I didn't even spare Obito a glance, waving with my other hand at him, "Get me a coffee."

"What?" The indignation in his tone would've been comical if I had coffee.

"Coffee, you know what that is, right?" I continued to the next document, seems like the Mist was quite interested in diplomacy, too bad I wasn't at the moment.

"I'm not your secretary." Obito crossed his arms over his chest, doing his best to stay resolute.

"Okay. Obito, you are now officially my secretary." I stated, turning to him before gesturing to the door, "Now go get me coffee."

Obito just stared at me in mildly offended awe.

I threw the papers down in exasperation, "What else are you going to do?"

"I don't know!" Obito shrugged, "I mean, what the hell am I supposed to be doing? It's not like I can get a job!"

"Yeah, you're not good at anything." I scoffed; was I wrong?

Obito sighed in hurt, "Hey, c'mon-"

"No, you deserve all the shit you get." I spat, sitting back in my chair and leaving the room to an awkward silence. After letting it hang for a moment, I decided it might be better to relent a little, "Look, you already follow me around all the time, you already do half of the things I tell you to, and you attempt to keep me on track, you're basically my secretary already."

Obito frowned in contemplation before looking back at me, "Fine, I guess I'll be your secretary." Finally.

"Excellent. Coffee. Now." I picked up my discarded paper; great, I was going to have to find my place again.

"Kakashi-" Obito began frustratedly.

"Co- ffee." I emphasized each syllable deliberately, glaring at Obito.

He opened his mouth to object again when we both heard the door open, seeing Naruto standing behind it with a mildly confused look on his face.

"Hey, Kakashi-sensei." he gave a small wave, "Gotta minute?"

I scowled back at Obito, "Coffee." I stated, and then promptly turned in my chair, folding my hands on the desk and smiling at Naruto, "What can I do for you?"

Obito rolled his eyes, but left the room, at last realizing that I wasn't going to be reasoned with. About time. Naruto watched him leave curiously before smiling again, "I was just, uh, wondering if I could watch you work or something."
