I looked over the map carefully trying to approximate where we might've been located, "Maybe turn the boat a few degrees to the left." I requested.
Takumi nodded, angling the rudder a bit, shifting our trajectory.
"So, we're close now, right?" Naruto inquired, peeking over the edge of the boat curiously to try and peer through the mist.
"Should be." I nodded.
"Good." Tenten sighed, "Sitting around for hours at a time is no fun."
Takumi smiled at her, "You could help me steer if you want."
She sat up, "Really?"
He moved to the side, allowing Tenten to move to the back of the boat and sit on the platform with the rudder. Her movements caused the boat to shift slightly, making the suffering boy next to me tense.
Tenten winced as she sat down, "Sorry Shino."
Shino lifted his head from his arms groggily, "I understand now."
"Understand what?" I asked with a quirked brow.
"I understand how Kiba could be so uptight; this feels horrible." he groaned, lowering his head back into his arms.
"You're not getting nauseous are you?" I rubbed his back worriedly.
"No, it's just being this on edge for this long just starts to hurt." he mumbled.
I sighed, continuing to rub his back and turning to the haze that surrounded us. I understood what he meant too; the horrific feeling of tightness in my chest and stomach was beginning to become unbearable. It had just seemed to infect me after I was assaulted, and the pervasive feeling that something was wrong was truly a feeling. It was a physical sensation that drove deep into your core, somehow feeling like it was both eating away at you and trying to escape. I couldn't imagine constantly living with this; I couldn't live with this. How did Hina ever live with this?
Naruto frowned sympathetically, "Is there nothing we can do?"
Tenten sighed, "I think the only way we could help is by minimizing the rocking of the boat in any way possible."
"Please." Shino muttered.
"It'll only be a little more, kid." Takumi soothed, checking the mast of the boat. Luckily, Takumi knew how to navigate a boat well enough that his movements were practically unnoticeable.
He ruffled my hair as he walked past me, joining Naruto at the front of the boat and pulling out a telescope to look for our target.
"This whole thing's a pretty big deal right?" Tenten hummed.
I nodded, "Like I said; we wanna stop the end of the village right?"
Naruto pulled his knees to his chest, a nervous scowl forming on his usually happy face, "Do you really think I'll get powerful enough?"
"Of course," I smiled, holding out my hand to him. Remembering the gesture, he lowered his head so I could ruffle his hair, "Everything is going to be a'okay."
He sat back with a smile, "You're right!"
Takumi glanced back worriedly, "The Cloud isn't going to attack us, are they?"
I shook my head, "Nope, they know we're here, and I'm pretty close to the Raikage now. He said this was all okay."
"Anything to worry about as we approach?" he followed up.
"The seals I put around the boat will take care of everything." I responded, "There shouldn't be any problems with reaching the turtle."
"What are we going to do when we get there?" Naruto questioned, absentmindedly dipping his hand into the water.
