Enhanced Interrogation Techniques

I scanned the room for my temporary teammates, feeling annoyed that they hadn't arrived yet. Why did Sakura have to become a chunin? Why did Naruto have to leave? Because of those idiots, now I was stuck with Ino and Choji, and, as much as I hated to admit it, I was certain I wouldn't work with them as well as I did with my old team.

Lee bounced around excitedly, talking Tenten's ear off about whatever, probably how excited he was. My annoyance was only building, so by time I saw Ino and Choji walking towards me I felt a touch of relief at having a distraction from the Naruto-like enthusiasm.

"Hey, Sasuke." Ino called out, and my relief instantly disappeared as I realized I was going to have to deal with Ino's blatant flirting for the foreseeable future.

I managed a wave, "Yo."

"Tired?" Choji asked with a smile.

I jerked a thumb back at Lee, "Being driven insane."

Ino laughed, "Oh, c'mon it's not that bad."

"Yeah, it works well for finding you guys." an unfamiliar voice drew my attention, and I turned to see Shino and his new teammate walk up, "I think it'd be impossible to lose you all in a crowd."

"That's for sure." Choji agreed

"So, Shino," Ino smiled, "Who's your friend?"

"Izumi." the boy smiled.

"Nice to meet you," Ino smiled, and I groaned inwardly at all the pleasantries that were about to be exchanged, "I'm Ino."

"Choji." Choji gave a small wave.

Izumi turned to me with a smile, "You're the boy that tried to beat the shit out of Shino."

I blanched as Ino and Choji shot me confused looks, "My name's Sasuke." I mumbled.

"Ah, nice to meet you Sasuke." he hummed, shooting a smirk at Shino. That little shit.

Tenten walked up to us, "Hey guys, nervous at all?" she seemed desperate to get away from Lee who was now throwing punches at the air in blind excitement.

"A little." Choji admitted.

"A lot." Ino smiled sheepishly.

Izumi nodded, "It's my first time and all."

I shrugged indifferently.

Lee bounded up to us, "Don't worry about it! We'll all do great!"

Tenten winced, "Okay, okay, we get it." she looked around before letting out a huff, "Okay, where is Neji? He's never late?"

Izumi looked around as well, "Kiba isn't here yet either, though he's always late."

"Speak of the devil and he shall arrive." we turned to see Neji walk up to us, Kiba and Akamaru wandering behind.

"Neji!" Lee cheered, and Neji did perhaps the most lifeless jazz hands I'd ever seen in response.

Kiba gave a small wave, "You guys ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." Ino shrugged.

Lee frowned, "You guys really need to have more enthusiasm." his eyes then locked onto Kiba, grabbing one of his hands, "I didn't know you wore bandages as well!"

Kiba made a small noise, posture going oddly ridgid as he gritted his teeth, "Y-yeah!? I thought- I-I'd give it a try."
