I stood in the expansive clearing, cloudy sky pouring down on us. Itachi stood across from me, eyeing me carefully.
"I want to see what you're capable of." he prompted, "We got some idea with your fight with Konan, but I don't think we've seen everything you have yet."
"What do you want to see first?" I asked.
"That 'air palm' ability of yours is quite interesting," he replied, "I want to see the different variants of it."
I moved in front of the targets, "Well, I've found that the diameter of the air palm can be quite flexible." To begin, I demonstrated a classic air palm, about the width of the target, obliterating one target and knocking the one's aside it askew.
Itachi nodded.
"I've found that it can be made quite wide and powerful; I used it to start moving Isobu." I explained, instead aiming upward and firing off an air palm that almost pushed me down. It noticeably shifted the clouds above, temporarily disturbing the incessant rainfall.
Itachi blinked at the sky, "So it would seem."
"Then, there's a new technique I developed, a sniper shot." I aimed my finger at another target and fired. Itachi walked forward to see a centimeter wide hole in the dead center of the target.
"How effective is it?" Itachi's brow furrowed as he ran a hand over the hole.
"Enough to pierce a human skull clean through." I responded. Itachi looked at me in confusion before I sighed, "It was how I killed Orochimaru."
"Oh." Itachi nodded, "Effective indeed." He walked up to me, "I want to spar with you in order to see what your physical combat capabilities are. Hopefully, we can then refine them.
"Okay then," I got down into position, "Whenever you're ready."
"You are quite eager," he commented.
"Don't like to waste time." I corrected before racing forward.
I rolled down on the ground, doing a spin move to try and take out his legs. Itachi leapt backwards, taking another step to avoid an uppercut to the jaw. He countered with a sharp jab to my underarm, but I quickly twisted out of the way to try and round house his ribs.
He moved to grab my leg, and I retracted it and shifted my weight to instead try and kick him in the face. This time he successfully caught my ankle, but I used the anchor to grab onto his collar and try to bring my other knee to his face.
He released me, grabbing my collar in turn and tossing me over his shoulder. I quickly righted myself, running over to him and darting back and forth to try and confuse him, not like that was possible.
Getting close, I went for his stomach with a chakra attack from my left, trying to use his retalitating arms as an opportunity to block a shoulder gate. He grabbed both of my wrists, but this allowed me to bury a knee in his gut.
Itachi pulled me closer to his face, "You may be good with hand to hand, but what about weapons."
As soon as he spoke, my hands were released and he suddenly drew a blade. Raising my hands on instinct, I activated a chakra scalpel with my right hand. I caught the blade, deflecting it to the side as he smirked.
"Not bad." he smiled. Cheeky bastard.
He jabbed at my chest and I angled my blade to force him outwards to my right, leaving my left hand an opening to try and catch him under the arm. He retreated, going for my face to which I ducked down, trying to uppercut him with my scalpel.
Once again he leaned back, stepping back a few paces before suddenly throwing out a series of shuriken. I deflected the first three that came from the front before realizing the ones he threw from the sides were going to redirect at me as well.
