Jungkook had been fed and hydrated through tubes for so long now that he was getting tired of it. The young male wanted nothing but to sit down and eat his favourite chicken ramen with a soda, and be with Taehyung. Was that too much to ask?
So when Taehyung told him that he could finally start eating and drinking on his own, he couldn't have been more happy with the news. Obviously it would only start off with water and maybe some soup because his body wasn't ready to digest anything solid just yet, but he knew these small steps were huge for his recovery.
Jungkook was a little sad because Taehyung was busy back at work, but the older would make sure to check on him at every chance he had, always leaving a peck on Jungkook's cheek before he left the boy to sleep. Jungkook couldn't help but love the unpredictable doctor even more every day, his nightmares and fears easing as he knew that Taehyung would be there the next day. Yet he feared he would get the older in trouble because of their little secret.
