Charming. Her home. Her hell.

The only thing she loved and hated at the same time. Her whole life was there. Her work at Charming High School, her dad, her mother's tombstone. Everything she cared about had a place there. But, the things that she hated had a place too.

She hated walking down the street and hearing the motorcycles drive by. She hated the commotion from the Teller-Morrow garage. But, most of all, she hated how they destroyed her family.

As Mina walked down the street, her ponytail swayed from side to side. She was in a rush, late for school, but she needed her morning coffee. Walking into the coffee shop, she took her sunglasses off.

She smiled at the cashier, "Morning, can I get a black coffee with a shot of caramel?"

He nodded and opened the cash drawer. "$2.50." She handed him the money and stepped to the other side of the counter, waiting for her coffee. He put it on the counter and said, "Have a good day."

Picking it up and turning, she didn't notice the man standing behind her. He didn't notice her either because he was looking behind him. Walking into him, the coffee splattered all over his grey shirt. He yelled startled by colliding with her and startled by the burning coffee seeping through his shirt onto his chest. "Hey! Watch where ya are goin'!" he yelled, looking down at his shirt.

She bent down picking up the coffee cup. Before standing up, she sighed, "I'm so sorry."

Their eyes met when she stood back up. Mina stared for a moment, getting lost in his dark, chocolate eyes. Then, she looked down, seeing one of the leather vests she hated so much. He had a newer looking patch on it; "V. President."

He looked down at the flustered girl. "It's alright. Didn't like this shirt anyway," he said with a wink. She tossed the cup into the trashcan beside him. "Chibs," he said, sticking out his hand.

She accepted it and said, "Mina." She cleared her throat, "I'm really sorry about that."

"Ah, don't worry about it!" he shrugged. "Accidents happen." She smiled and tried to walk past him, but he grabbed her arm. "Let me buy-" he started to say. Without hesitation, she spun and slapped him across his cheek. It caught him off guard, but he shook it off and let go of her. "So, ya don't want another coffee?" he asked as if nothing happened.

Shaking her head, she said, "No, I need to get to work."

"See ya around then, Mina," he sighed, with a little irritation in his voice.

She walked out as fast as she could, almost running down the street. She didn't even know why she was running. Stopping at the crosswalk, waiting for the red hand to go away and reveal the walk sign, she heard a motorcycle coming behind her. He stopped at the red light and turned his head towards her.

"Ya wanna ride?" he yelled over the sound of his rumbling Dyna.

Mina thought about the last time she was on a motorcycle, who she was with, the scar it left. She shook her head, "No, I'm okay." Both of their lights allowed them to go, only for both of them to stop at the next one. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, imagining that he wasn't sitting in the road waiting for the light to turn green.

He chuckled, "Are ya sure?" She nodded, opening her eyes.

"No, really, I'm okay. I don't want to hold you up from any of your club duties."

"I really don't mind." When the lights turned green and she started walking, he decided to leave her alone. He tried his best. Speeding off down the street, he looked in the side view mirror as she stood on the corner waiting to cross.
