JAYNE'S POV
As Draco and I walked down the hall hand and hand I felt so happy. I wasn't nervous for my exams, Draco and I were in a good place besides his father and I got to see my dad last week. Draco and I sat down at the table and began eating. "Jayne, you need to eat" Draco said. I looked up at him and rolled my eyes. I dramatically bit a blueberry muffin and he scoffed. "Happy now dad" I said. "Oh princess, you know it's daddy" he whispered in my ear. His minty breath fanned my skin and I got butterflies as he placed a kiss on my neck. I slapped him. "Shhhh'' I said and we continued eating. Soon enough it was time for our exams. Draco and I walked to Potions and sat down. Snape passed everything out and we began. "Good luck" I whispered. "I won't need it" he said smirking. I knew he was just putting on an act. He was actually nervous and I could tell because he was fiddling with his rings. To be honest though, I was fiddling with the necklace he gave me. Our potions exam went by quick. Then we had a 30 min break before our DADA exam. "Do you want to go sit by the lake?" I asked. "Sure" he said. We walked outside in the cold afternoon and sat by the beautiful Black lake. Draco started skipping rocks and he was really good at it. "How do you think you did?" I asked. "Good, what about you?" he asked. "I don't know. I knew most of the answers but I'm still nervous." I said. "I'm sure you were a brilliant princess, '' he said. "Thank you" I said. "Can you hand me a piece of gum from my bag?" he asked. I went through his bag and pulled out his spearmint gum and handed him a piece. When I put the bag down a book fell out and opened. There was an incredible drawing of the Slytherin common room. It was so detailed. I flipped through the other pages of the book and it was filled with art. I even came across a page with a drawing of me sitting on his windowsill reading. I remember that day. He said he was doing homework but he was drawing me. "What have you got there?" he asked. I held up the book. "That's private," he said, snatching it from my hands. "Then why am I in there?" I asked, smirking at him. "None of your concern. You shouldn't be going through my things" he snapped. "Draco you are really talented. You should be proud of these." I said. "Whatever, just drop it," he spat. "Oh come on, you aren't seriously mad." I groaned. "I am actually. Just go away." he said. "Whatever, come find me when you get over this." I said standing up and walking away. I went inside and saw Harry, Ron and Hermione standing outside the DADA classroom. "Hey guys! Why so early?" I asked. "Hermione's always mental when it comes to exams," Rom complained. Hermione hit him with her book. "What about you? Where's Draco?" Harry asked. I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "He is in a mood. I told him to piss off and come find me when he is not being a child." I said and we all chuckled. Harry pulled me to the side and his eyes were full of concern. "How are you?" he asked. "I'm fine. Draco just gets like this sometimes." I said. "No, I mean with the breakout" he said. "What?" I asked. He pulled out The Daily Prophet from his bag and handed it to me. On the front page it said 10 prisoners escaped Azkaban. But that's not what caught my eye. Not only were they blaming it on my dad, Bellatrix Lestrange was one of the escapees. "Oh" I said softly unsure of what else to say. "Jayne, we know it wasn't him. That's all that matters." Harry said. I nodded. "I'm sorry about Bellatrix and your mom." he said. "Thanks. I'm not too worried about it." I said. He looked puzzled. "You aren't?" he asked. "Nope." I said plainly. "Why?" he asked. "Because one day i'm going to find her and I'm going to kill her." I said. "Jayne, I don't think-" he started. "Harry don't start. If you could kill Voldemort right now, would you?" I asked. His silence was my answer. "That's what I thought. Other students started to join us so hurriedly and I walked back over. I watched Draco walk over but he ignored me. So, I did the same. The doors opened and we all filed in sitting at our desks. Umbridge stood at the front of the room and gave a speech about exams and the rules and then we began.
We were all doing our exams when all of the sudden, there was a boom in the distance. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up in confusion. Umbridge walked towards the outside of the classroom and we all started in anticipation, wondering what was going on. She stood in the doorway looking around, and for a moment, nothing happened. Then a small firework flew into the room and exploded in color. Then there was another moment of silence before George and Fred flew into the room on their brooms. They threw more fireworks out and soon the whole room was exploding with all different colors. They flew low and our exams went flying into the air. Umbridge watched in horror as we all cheered for them. One of the fireworks chased Draco leaving an imprint of his scared face on the wall. I laughed at him and he scowled at me but I could tell he wanted to laugh. Then they set off the biggest one yet. The firework exploded into a giant dragon and chased Umbridge outside. Then it exploded destroying all those stupid plaques she put on the walls with the rules. They all fell to the ground crashing into hundreds of pieces. We all ran outside following the twins as they set more fireworks off. One of them even formed a giant W in the sky. All the students from the whole school were outside cheering them on. I stood next to Hermione and she looked so happy. "This is incredible," she yelled. "I know! The twins are bloody brilliant!" I said. I clapped my hands for them and kept cheering. "Harry!" Hermione yelled. I turned to see Harry on the ground. We both knelt in front of him. "It's Sirius," he said. "What?" Hermione asked. "Voldemort, he has Sirius." Harry said. My heart sank. Harry's eyes were full of fear. "What? What do you mean he's got Sirius?" I exclaimed as Hermione helped Harry up. We got Ron and ran inside the castle as Harry explained his vision. "We have to get to the Department of Mysteries," Harry said. "How? Umbridge has all the chimneys under surveillance." Ron said. "Not all of them." Hermione said. They ran to the Gryffindor dorms to get changed and I went to my dorm and did the same. I put on some jeans and a grey hoodie with my sneakers. I tucked my wand in my pocket and met Harry, Ron and Hermione outside Umbridge's office. "Alohomora" Harry said and the door opened and we ran inside. "Alert the order if you can," Harry said. "We are going with you mate" Ron said. "Yeah, of course. He's my dad" I added. "We are in this together" Hermione said. "That you are" We all whipped around to see Umbridge and the Inquisitorial squad standing at the door. They held Luna, Neville and Ginny as well. Draco looked at me with a death stare. I just shook my head at him. He grabbed me and held me with the others. Umbridge tied Harry to a chair. "What are you thinking?" Draco whispered to me. "I'm thinking about someone other than myself, you should try it" I snapped. He dug his fingers into my shoulder and scoffed. You were going to Dumbledore weren't you" Umbridge asked. "No," Harry said. "Liar!" she yelled and slapped him across the face, hard. I gasped. Then Snape walked in. "You sent for me," he asked. "Snape, yes. The time has come for answers. Whether he wants to give them to me or not. Have you brought the veritaserum?" she asked. "Unfortunately, you have used up all my stores interrogating students. I cannot help you." Snape said plainly. Umbridge's face dropped as Snape turned to leave. "He's got Padfoot." Harry said. Snape turned back. "He's got Padfoot at the place where it's hidden." Harry said. Please get what he's saying, please, I thought to myself. "What's he saying?" Umbridge asked. "No idea," Snape said. My heart sank. "Well then, seeing as this is an issue of Ministry security, I have no choice. The cruciatus curses out to loosen your tongue. "Thats illegal!" Hermione yelled. "You can't!" I yelled pulling from Draco but he just gripped me tighter. "What Cornelius doesn't know won't hurt him" she said putting a picture of his face down. My heart began to race. The cruciatus curse is torture. "Tell her Harry!" Hermione yelled. We all looked at her confused. "What? Tell me what?" Umbridge said. "Well if you won't tell her, I will." Hermione said. She was bluffing. Hermione really is brilliant. "Dumbledore's secret weapon." Hermione said. "Take me to it," she said, grabbing Harry and Hermione. "Watch them" she told the inquisitorial squad before leading them out. This is our chance.
