JAYNE'S POV
By the time I got back to my dorm, Theo was asleep on the bed with books surrounding him. He looked so peaceful. I smiled and began to pick up all the books. I stacked them on my desk and changed into pajamas. "Oh hey" I turned and Theo sat up rubbing his eyes. "Hey, sorry I didn't mean to wake you up." I said sitting next to him. "It's alright. Where were you?" he asked. "Um I was talking to Snape." I said. I hesitated. It's hard to lie to my best friend. But I know I can't tell him. "Jayne, whatever you've gotten yourself into, I just really hope you are being careful." he said. I looked up at him and his eyes were full of concern. "I -um, it's just." I stammered. "You don't have to tell me and I won't ask. But just promise me that if you are in danger you will tell me." he said. "I promise. I'm fine though. Everything's fine." I lied. He nodded. "Ok." he shrugged. I nodded and we laid together for a while talking about other stuff. "I should get to bed, I have quidditch tomorrow." he said. "Ok, I can't wait. I'll be cheering you on the whole time." I said. He smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "See you tomorrow," he said. I waved and he slipped out. I debated going to Draco's. I knew I wouldn't sleep without him. But to be honest I wasn't sure if I would sleep with him. After an hour of thought, I headed for Draco's dorm. I stood outside his door and took a breath. I knocked gently and waited. After about a minute the door opened. He wore grey sweatpants and a faded long sleeve shirt. His hair was messy and he had bags under his eyes again. Draco saw me and his eyes fell to the floor. "I didn't think you were coming anymore." he said quietly. "I told you I wouldn't leave you Draco. I meant it." I said. He looked up at me and opened the door more. I walked in and we both sat on the edge of the bed. He began fidgeting with his rings. His hands were really shaky. More so than ever. I held his hands tightly and looked in his eyes. "I know something is going on with you. And I also know you aren't going to tell me what it is. So I'm just going to be here. That's all. I'm just going to stay with you and be there when you need me. Ok?" I said. He looked so empty. All I wanted to do was tell him. Tell him I know about the mark and the task and everything. I wanted to take some of the weight off his shoulders. But I can't. He can't know I know. And it breaks my heart. "Thanks princess" he said softly. I kissed him and he pulled me on his lap. I held him close to me and our chests were pressed together as I grind slowly on him. We kissed passionately and I felt his touch. His hands roamed my body and I moaned softly into his mouth. He tasted like green apples and smelled like mint, just like always. I could never leave. How could I... He's Draco. He's my everything.
I woke up the next morning laying next to Draco. His arms wrapped around my body. His sleeve had rolled up and I saw the black ink cursing his pale skin. Every Time I saw it, it broke my heart. I quickly rolled his sleeve back down and snuggled closer to him. I felt his breath on my neck. There were platinum blonde hairs that fell loosely over his face. I moved them and his eyes fluttered open. "Hey princess" he said. His deep morning voice gave me shivers. "Hi" I whispered. He propped himself up and tucked my dark hair behind my ear. "Are you going to quidditch?" I asked. "No, I have to help Snape with something." he said. Strange. I want to know what Snape is helping him with. Or the other way around. Either way, I want to know. "Ok, well maybe after we can all hang out." I said hopefully. "What, like with you and Theo?" he asked. "Yeah, he doesn't hold a grudge. Even though you purposefully knocked him off his broom and broke his ribs and gave him a concussion." I said. He rolled his eyes. "Maybe, I'm not sure." he said. I nodded. "I have to go get ready but I'll see you later?" I said and I kissed him and slid off the bed. "Have fun" he said and I slipped out the room. I headed for my dorm and quickly showered and got dressed. I put on some jeans, a white turtleneck and a slytherin quidditch shirt. Then I pulled on my grey converse and grey coat, tucked my wand in my pocket and left. Instead of heading for the pitch, I went to Snape's room. I knocked on the door. No answer. So I just walked in. Snape sat at his desk reading the paper. He looked at me and rolled his eyes. "Miss Black, what a wonderful surprise." he said sarcastically. "Good to see you too Professor." I said walking up to him. "What is Draco doing with you today?" I asked. He looked up at me confused. "What do you mean?" he asked. "Draco said he wasn't coming to quidditch because he was helping you with something." I said. Snape shook his head. "Mr. Malfoy and I have no plan for anything today." he said. I scoffed. "That lying little ferret." I said. "Perhaps he just didn't want to go with you." Snape said, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah or maybe he's sneaking off to the room of requirement for the 100th time" I mumbled. "What?" Snape said, his head snapped up. "What?" I asked. "What are you talking about?" he asked. "Draco, he goes to the room of requirement every single night." I say. Snape looked at me quite nervously. "How do you know?" he asked. "Ummm I can't tell you." I said. "Miss Black" he said sharply. "Sucks being kept in the dark doesn't it" I said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes. "If you care for Mr. Malfoy as much as you say you do, you best tell me what you know. All of it." he said. My heart started racing as I pulled the Marauders Map. "What is that?" he asked. "Marauders Map" I said. "Of course it has something to do with that group of idiots" he mumbled. "Don't talk about my dad like that!" I yelled. He rolled his eyes. "You're just jealous that they had friends. And that Lily chose James. Must have sucked huh?" I snapped. He looked down. "I'm sorry Professor. Just don't call my dad an idiot, he was a great wizard and you know it." I said. He nodded. "Just show me." he said. I opened the map and pointed my wand. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." I stated. The ink appeared and Snape's eyes widened. "It shows where everyone is and what they're doing all the time." I said. "Interesting." he mumbled. "The marauders made it. Anyway, that's how I know. Draco's name disappears right here-" I said pointing to the spot. "And that is where the room of requirement is. I asked my Uncle Remus and he said the room of requirement doesn't show up on the map. So it only makes sense." I said. He nodded. "I'll look into it." he said. "Thank you." I said and I turned to leave. "I'm really sorry for what I said about you and Lily." I said. He didn't say anything. "Does Harry know?" I asked. His head snapped up. "No and you are not to tell him." he said sharply. "Ok, ok I won't. I swear it." I said. He nodded. "Will he ever know?" I asked. "I don't know Jayne." he said. I nodded and left. There is a lot more to Professor Snape that meets the eye. I just wish Harry knew. He doubts him so much. If he knew what he was doing, what Snape was risking for him, he might be a tad bit more grateful.
