Forgiveness
JAYNE'S POV
Harry and I walked in silence for a while until he spoke. "Jayne, I'm sorry" he said. I rolled my eyes and laughed. "I'm sure you are. First you tried to let me win, but I figured that out, then it must have sucked to get your ass kicked in front of everyone" I said looking straight ahead. "Yeah just like your boyfriend" he scoffed. Wow, really. I pushed him against the wall and stared into his eyes. "Listen Potter. After everything you did, do you really want to go there? You took everything from me. You have no right" I said. I felt the tears fill my eyes and I let go. He doesn't get to see me cry. We kept walking. "I didn't know Jayne," he said. I just stayed quiet. "I know what it's like to lose your parents. I lost mine. When I met Sirius, after he escaped, I found out I had family. Even though he was just one person, at least I had one person. I didn't know about you. When I found out about you, I didn't realize that he was all you had too. I was so wrapped up in me finally having family, I didn't realize I took away yours. I'm so sorry." he said quietly. I felt the tears fall as I began to shake. "He really loves you Jayne. He asks me to ask you to write him letters. I tried to tell you but you wouldn't talk to me. He told me to tell you that he is proud of you." Harry said softly. Right when Harry said that, I began to sob. Harry wrapped his arms around me and I collapsed into him. He held me while I cried into his shoulder. We sunk to the floor and sat in a corner. He didn't move or say anything about class or the time. He just sat there holding me while I cried. Eventually, I ran out of tears. I lifted my head from his chest and looked at him. "I'm sorry too," I said quietly. He wiped the tears from my eyes and held my hand to help me up. We finally made it to the hospital wing 15 minutes before dinner. Harry was fine.
Harry and I walked to dinner together. We decided to be friends. I was going to meet him in the library tonight to write a letter to Sirius. When we got to the Great Hall, we walked in and said goodbye and went to our separate tables. The second I sat down Draco sat next to me and he was seething. "What the fuck Jayne?" he growled. I turned to face him. His knuckles were just as white as when I left, his pale face was tinted red and his jaw was clenched. "What's wrong?" I asked. He grabbed my chin harshly pulling me to look at him. "You tell me, weren't you the one just fucking Potter" he spat. I grabbed his hands trying to pull them off me. "What are you talking about? I took him to the hospital" My eyes watered as his grip tightened. His hand went to my inner thigh and he squeezed roughly."Please Draco, you're hurting me" I choked out. "You are still just a pathetic slut" he said and stood up to leave. "Hey Potter, I hope you enjoy my sloppy seconds" he yelled as he left. His voice echoed to fill the room. Everyone turned to either look at Draco leaving, me or Harry. I felt tears coming down my cheeks and I got up to leave. Everyone stared at me but I didn't care. I had to get out of there. "Jayne, Wait!" I heard Harry call. I'm sure they were following me but I couldn't wait. I ran as fast as I could until I got outside the castle. I collapsed on the grass and cried. "Jayne" I heard voices coming and I saw my friends. It was Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ginny. "I'm so sorry Harry" I cried. "It's ok Jayne, talk to us," Harry said as knelt beside me. They surrounded me and I looked up. "Draco, he thinks that we... you know" I said. Harry's cheeks turned red. "Did you?" Ginny asked. "What? No? I just took him to the hospital and we talked. Sirius is my dad and Harry's Godfather. That makes Harry like my brother. That's it." I said. "Well then tell him that." Ron said. "It's Malfoy," Harry scoffed. "No maybe you are right. I should give him some time to cool off then tell him what actually happened." I said. They all gave each other a look. "I know what you guys are thinking but what is my other option. Have him hate me for something that never happened and never will" I asked. They shrugged. "So it's settled I'll talk to him tomorrow. But right now... Harry can we write to Sirius." I said softly. Harry nodded at me with a smile. We all went to the library and Harry taught me how to do it with the code names and so that our owls won't get caught. I didn't really know what to say at first, so I kept it simple.
Dear Padfoot,
I have a lot to say but not a lot of time. I'm sorry for before. I want you to know now, I forgive you. I want to make you proud because I am your daughter. I don't see your Godson as an enemy, I see him as a brother. I love you dad, forever and always.
We sent the letters and I felt a wave of relief. Now, tomorrow I will talk to Malfoy and everything will go back to normal. He probably forgot about Harry and I's relationship. He is going to feel pretty stupid for thinking we fucked. It's pretty gross anyway.
The next morning, I didn't see Malfoy all day. He missed every meal and every class. After dinner, I decided to go check on him. I snuck up to the boys dorms and got to his dorm. The door was slightly cracked. I opened it and froze at the sight. I saw Pansy Parkinson down on her knees sucking Draco's dick. We made eye contact and he winked. For a second, I felt frozen. Then I shut the door and ran back to my room. 2 can play in that game.
