Chapter 90

TIME JUMP: ONE WEEK

DRACO'S POV

It's been one week since Jayne was tossed back into this cellar. Since then the only contact we've had was house elves bringing us bread and water. Jayne has only been drifting in and out of consciousness. We are starting to worry. "Draco, when was the last time she ate or drank anything?" Theo asked. "I don't know, everytime I'm on watch she's been out. What about you?" he asked. "Same. Luna?" I asked. "I haven't seen her move in days." she said. My heart started to pound. I shook Jayne gently, nothing. So I shook her a little harder. "Jayne woke up," I said. Nothing. My heart started racing. I felt her neck and her pulse was faint but there. "Jayne woke up!" I said. Theo pulled me back. I started pacing. He knelt down next to her. "Come on Jayne, open your eyes." he said. Then we heard it. Yelling upstairs. Bellatrix came running down the stairs. Theo stood in front of Luna and Jayne. "Come with me, Draco," she said. "Where are you taking him?" Theo yelled as she dragged me. "We have guests." she said. She dragged me up the stairs and into the living room. I saw snatchers and my jaw dropped. Hermione and Ron. They gave me a concerned look. Bellatrix pulled me over to another figure. She grabbed his hair and forced him to look at me. It was Harry. But something was jacked up with his face. "Is this him?" Bellatrix asked. I stared. I couldn't do it. Not to Jayne. She needs him. "I can't be sure." I said. Lucius grabbed my neck. "Look closely, if we call him and we're wrong. He'll kill us all." she said. I pulled away. "Good. He should kill you. After all you've done. I hope he kills you." I spat. Bellatrix kicked the back of my legs and I fell to my knees in front of Harry. "Tell us if it's him and if it is. I'll let you and your friends go." she said. I looked at my father and he smiled and nodded. He was lying through his teeth. I pretended to look closely. "It's not him. Harry has darker eyebrows and a different nose. This is someone else." I lied. Bellatrix stood up. "Really or are you-" she started then she froze. "Where'd you get that?" she asked, pointing to the snatcher. He held the sword of Gryffindor. "It was in her bag when we searched in. Reckon it's mine now." he said. Suddenly Bellatrix cursed them all. "Get out! All of you! Out!" she yelled. The snatchers ran away in fear. Bellatrix grabbed Hermione. "Put them all in the cellar, I'm going to have a talk with this one. Girl to Girl" she said. Hermione looked terrified. Then death eaters grabbed Harry, Ron and I and dragged us down to the cellar. This will not end well.

JAYNE'S POV

I was still laying in the back of the cellar when I heard the gate open. My veins iced as I thought it was death eaters. Then the room lit up. I squinted because it was the first time I had seen the light in days. Theo and Luna were squinting too. Draco had run back over to me. "You came back." I said. "I always will," he said. "We can't leave Hermione up there with her." I heard Ron's voice. "Harry?" I croaked. Theo and Luna looked up. I tried to keep my eyes open but I barely could. Then I saw him. Harry and Ron. "Jayne?" he said. He ran over and knelt in front of me. "Are you really here?" I asked. Harry pulled me into his arms. "I'm here. I'm here." he said. "I didn't mean it. I don't hate you. I'm sorry." I said weakly. Harry teared up. "I know. I didn't mean it either. I love you Jayne." he said. "I love you too." I said. "Careful, she's really banged up alright" Theo said. Harry laid me back down. He looked at me and then he saw. I could see the look in his eyes. "What happened to her?" he said. Theo opened his mouth but before he could speak we heard an ear shattering scream. "Hermione!" Ron yelled. "We need a plan." Harry said. "Good luck" Draco scoffed. "Ok I don't want to hear anything from you. We are in your house. That's your aunt torturing Hermione. I don't even know what happened to Jayne but I'll bet your family had something to do with it." he said. "Harry," I said weakly. Draco's face fell. He was pale. "He's right. About all of it." he said. "Harry, Draco's mom died trying to get me and Theo out. Ok. Lucius killed her because she tried to save us. So calm down" I said. I felt dizzy. My vision blurred again and everything went black. The last thing I heard was Draco call my name.

I opened my eyes and smelled salt water. My legs were on cool water and sand. Theo was holding me and Luna was next to us. "Where am I?" I asked. "Shell Cottage." Theo said. "Where's Harry?" I asked. Just then Harry, Hermione, and Ron appeared in front of us. "We're ok. We're all ok" he said. Then I saw Dobby. "Harry Potter" he said weakly. Bellatrix's knife was buried in his gut. Harry caught him as he fell. I felt my eyes water. I couldn't hear them but I saw it. Dobby died. She killed him. Luna walked over and shut his eyes. "There, now he could be sleeping." she said. He nodded. "I want to bury him. Properly." he said. And they did. I was still dizzy from the apparition. Theo carried me into the shell cottage. Bill and Fleur were there. "Put her in the bed upstairs." Fleur said. Theo carried me upstairs, he laid me down in the bed. Draco was nowhere to be seen. "Theo, where's Draco?" I asked. Theo looked at me with a sad look on his face. His eyes watered. "I'm sorry Jayne." he said. "No." I said. "We tried to get all of us out. But Draco got held back. He's still there. I'm so sorry." he said. My chest constricted. Tears flowed down my cheeks. I tried to stand up but I hit the floor hard. "Woah Jayne, you can't walk," he said. "No, we have to go back. They'll kill him." I cried. Harry ran into the room. "They'll kill him Harry. Please let me go back." I begged. Harry wrapped me in his arms and laid me down. "I'm sorry Jayne." he whispered. I cried. "No, No. Please." I cried. Then it all went black.
