As I walked over to my car in the senior parking lot, I waved at Barry, one of the campus security guards. It had been a few days, but after some convincing, I was able to get my parents to sign-off on me having half-days.

I only had three necessary classes that I needed to attend to graduate this semester; my other classes were 'Office Aid' and study hall.

Last week, my dad worked something out with the school superintendent and next year there'd be a brand new scoreboard donated from the Prescott family.

I was nervous about going to the studio today.

It was finally the day we'd be holding auditions for my band and by lunch, I'd heard different drummers, guitarists, and bassists-- slightly overwhelming me.

I loved a lot of people's sounds, and I could see myself meshing with some of them easily, but this was a huge decision-- they'd be my band mates-- the people who would be helping me create my album.

As the day finally winded down, I was walking to my car, confident that the two guys and girl we were calling back in tomorrow would make for the perfect band trio to accompany me i the studio.

I was pulled back to reality when my phone began to ring, and I looked down in confusion, recognizing the number.

"Hello?"

"Sunny? Hey, it's Eva...from English class."

"Hey... what's up?"

"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to email your part of the assignment? I can put it all together tonight and then we can review them tomorrow."

I silently cursed to myself and shut my eyes as I got into my cute, little, white sports car, remembering that I left my notes in my locker.

I looked at the digital clock in my car and let out a relieved sigh, knowing that the school was still open.

"Uhh, sure, Eva. I'll send it over in a few hours, okay?"

"Okay, sounds good!"

After pulling out of the studio parking lot, I headed out, driving back towards the school.

I bit my lip after opening my locker, seeing a black sunflower clipped to the inside of my locker door.

There was a small piece of paper on a string attached to it, but there was no note.

Just a simple scribbled 'S'.
