Mona and Aether

Aether's POV

It's been quite a while since we've talked to each other. Well, alone, that is. I've just been with Venti and Venti alone these past few months. It isn't a bad thing, it's actually a good thing but, I'm starting to think that maybe I'm neglecting some of my friends. Guess I really do need to talk to Mona. Oh, Paimon as well.

I step in front of her door and hear some mumbling inside. Two people. One with a high-pitched voice, and a sweet-soft sounding one. I assume they're inside talking about something so, at least Venti was right that she came home.

"Hey! Mona! Are you here?" I shout, knocking on her door. The mumbling stops. I flinch in surprise as I heard things clashing or falling down. Metallic sounding. That... wasn't my fault, right? The door then opens and I step back. What appeared was a very tired looking Mona. I awkwardly chuckle and wave at her as she rolls her eyes.

"Get in." She says, her voice sounding a little rough and her looking as if she hasn't slept. Have I come at a bad time? Hope she wasn't super busy or anything. Well, she did let me into her house so, I guess she had time to spare for me.

"Oh, Aether! Hi!" Paimon says, floating towards me as I sit on the couch. She looks so... energized. Like motivated. Well, they might be doing something that has to do with treasure then.

"Paimon! How have you been? It's been quite some time since we've talked to each other." I say, smiling at her. It really has been a while. Well, we tend to talk to each other, go on adventures but then Mona comes along and asks Paimon for assistance. At least I know that she is at least helpful to Mona.

"I've been doing great! Mona is taking me to different places to research! I've also been looking for information that could maybe help you." She says, looking extremely happy as she grabs the little orange that was placed on the table, and eats it.

"Ah, thank you so much for that. You really are one of the best guides out there." I say, smiling thankfully. Well, without her, I would be really lost in this world. There's too many things to take in and she has shed some light on it all.

"Not 'one of the'! I am the best!" She says, stomping her foot in the air. I chuckle at her reply. She then continues to eat the little orange that she was holding.

"Of course, of course. Anyway, Mona, how have you been?" I ask, seeing that she was settling herself down on the couch in front of me. She must've put some money on this furniture. She did get a whole lot of money from that one commission. As expected, she is quite strong so that must've been child's play for her.
