CHAPTER 39

"Come say hi to daddy, son" There stands an middle aged man with two bodyguards behind him and Kobe by his side.

"I said I quit which Fucking part didn't you understand" Vally says calmly and I see the veins on his hands.

"Whose he?" I ask Marco who is busy wiping the same glass for the thousandth time now. Everyone has stopped acting normal when this man came in. It's like the devil himself has come out of hiding.

"Antonio. A gangster who is feared here in town" Marco keeps it short while telling me. Now that explains why everyone is acting creepy. But why is he only talking to Vally and not the others. Unless Kobe has decided to bring his old man since Vally taught him a lesson.

"Sit down Brittney. It's dangerous for you" Marco says holding my hand which I move quickly while standing up. I go pass the girls and stand next to Vally.

"Brittney. It's nice to meet you again" Kobe says with a smile on his face. They all standing on the other side of the table while Vally and his friends are on the other side. Antonio tilts his head at me and smirks.

"So she's the one?" He says looking at me with lust written all over his face. Disgusting old pervert. I sure am his daughters age. "Vally what's going on?" I ask him while holding his arm.

His muscular arms has stiffen and he has anger on his face. "Brittney I need you to get out of here now" Vally says still not looking at me.

"She is actually worth it for real. Wow, she's gorgeous man" He says again still looking at me. I just roll my eyes and put my hands on Vallys face but he moves them harshly.

"Brittney go now please" he says.
"No I wanna be here for you. We fight together remember?" I say. He still doesn't look at me and carries on staring at Antonio who has his eyes fixed on me.

"I don't need you okay. Mike get her out of here" He commands Mike who nods and takes my things. He then comes and holds my arm tight taking me out with him.

Every time I come here something always has to happen which will result to me leaving. I thought that we were together all this time but I was wrong. Now I know where I stand in his life. I'm just a stupid girl that keeps falling for the same guys over and over again.

"Brittney he did not mean it like that" Mike says interrupting my thoughts. I really want to cry but I promised to never shed a tear in this new chapter.

"Of course he never did Mike. What do you guys call it 'a slip of a tongue' " I say and look out of the window as I remember how Kevin would say that all the time after saying something which upset me.

"See it's dangerous of you to be around Antonio. His a very heartless bastard that doesn't give a shit" he says as he pulls over in our hood.

"Him and Vally were business partners. Then the money they made went missing and he blames Vally for everything. That's why he troubles him cause he wants the money back and Vally doesn't have it" he explains when he parks outside the house.

I turn to face him. "Vally lost the money?" I ask.
He shakes his head. "Someone else did but we don't know who" he says.

My mind tells me that it must be that Antonio that had the money stolen and now is threatening Vally for more. Bloody greedy bastard. I thank Mike for dropping me off and step out. I wave goodbye as he drives of and enter the house.

"How was the girls outing?" Natalie asks me.
I throw myself on the couch and let out a breath.

"It was okay. I had fun until this old man had to mess it up. He and Vally have unsolved problems and that's why I had to come back" I say and look up forgetting that I mentioned Vally.

When I realise I sit up and look at Natalie who is looking at me like I'm insane. "He was there also?" She asks me while knitting what looks like a blanket.

"Yeah.. I met him there. What a coincidence" I say and let out a laugh to cover it all up.

"Maybe him and Roselle are in a relationship" she says and I look at her. That would never happen. I can see by the way he looks at me and her. That spark isn't there with the other girls.

"Maybe" I say feeling jealous for no reason. I am only saying so to cover up my jealousy and the truth.

"They would make a good couple cause they both weirdos" she says and laughs. I'll pretend I never heard that.

"I'm going to make supper" I say and stand up. I really need something to keep me distracted from my thoughts. I make supper and now we sitting and eating.

"It's delicious Brittney. Thank you" Alex says and I just smile at him. After supper I take out the plates and wash them.

"Goodnight guys" I tell Natalie and Alex who are watching tv and head to my room. When I enter my room I change into my pyjamas and sit on the bed with my phone in my hands.

Vally hasn't called or messages me letting me know his safe. I try calling him and it all goes to his voice mail. After all my tries I just put my phone on the nightstand and sleep.

"He hasn't called or messaged me after what happened yesterday" I tell Kristen and Jeven whose listening attentively to my sob story.

"Give him time. He'll come around" Jeven says nodding repeatedly to support his statement.

"What you know about being a man?" She asks Jeven who carries on eating his sandwich. After lunch I go to my office and find my chair moving on its own. I stand by the door not daring to move.

"It's me honey no need to fear" Vally says and turns around. I let out a breath and enter closing the door behind me.

"I just needed to see you after yesterday" he says while standing up and walking towards me. I also walk to him and he kisses me. I missed him so much now do I realise.

"Vally I can help you payoff that Antonio" I tell him after breaking of the kiss and looking in his eyes.

His face goes from happy to disturbed and angry. "What you talking about?" He asks me. I put my hands over his face and rub his cheeks with my thumb , the same way he does.

He moves away from me and scratches his head. "Mike explained to me what happened" I remind him. He then furrow his eyebrows and then looks at me as if remembering.

"I can help you. I don't mind helping you. You don't have to pay me back. Take it as a gift" I say shrugging my shoulders.

"The Fucking nerve Brittney" he says looking at me with anger on his face. Oh no, I just pressed the wrong button.
