"No, I don't like cookies. I only eat one cookie" Vally says. Today we decided to go shopping for some things in the house.
"And which is that?" I ask him while standing on my tip toe to reach for the box of chocolate cookies.
"Yours of course" he says reaching for it and putting it in the trolley. After yesterday's drama he has been extra careful with me. I do see the pity in his eyes and it is hurting me. I feel like apart of him believes that I am insane.
"Yeah, yeah...I guess this is it. We got everything on the list" I say checking the list and what we got in the trolley.
"You wait in the line I need some thing" he says leaving me in the line of people waiting to pay for they goods. I stand there behind a couple that look like rock stars judging by they dyed hair, piercings and dress code.
"I'm back" he comes and says it in my ears shocking me. He has with him some bottles of milk and packets of sweets.
"Out of all people we got to stand behind these ones" Vally says pointing at the two standing in front of us smoking. They really do have the nerve cause this is a no smoking zone.
"Shh, they hear you" I say giggling.
"But who the fuck dyes they hair purple and bloody Brown" he says irritated by the colours. The purple is actually nicer then Theresa's maroon. I'm even thinking of dyeing mines.
"It's cooler then Theresa's" I say.
"Don't get me on that one. Her hair is like the bloody dye is from years ago" he says and we start laughing and the rock star couple turns around looking at us.
"What's the problem?" The guy asks.
"Nothing" Vally puts his hands up in surrender and I look away as I want to laugh.
"Next please" the cashier says and it's our turn already. Vally puts all the things for her to calculate. I stand there looking around and see a pack of painting brushes. Those could be very valuable to Damien.
"Where you going?" Vally asks but I just signal him that I'll be right back. I go to the part filled with different types of brushes. Standing there and deciding which ones to take I feel as if someone's looking at me.
I look around but don't see anyone. "Excuse me" a woman says as I'm standing in the way. I apologize and take any type of brushes and go to the line. I pay for them and go outside to find Vally packing the groceries in the car boot.
"Brittney, you okay?" Vally asks me after staring at the exit of the shop. These a man that's wearing black with a hoodie on.
He gets on his bike and drives pass us while looking at me but I can't see his face as his helmet covers it. "You want us to get a bike?" Vally asks when his done.
"Yeah, let's go" I say jumping in the car. My heart is beating so fast because of the way that guy was looking at me. It's like he was telling me something. To either hide or run.
"Brittney, are you sure you okay?" Vally asks me.
"Yeah, I just remembered something I should forget" I say laughing a little to cover up the worry on my face.
We drive back to the apartment and take the groceries that we pack. "I'm going to get Damien" I tell Vally whose eating sweets.
"Sure" he says blowing me a kiss. I take my keys and go to the garage. I reverse the car and drive off to Natalie's house.
"Come in" Alex says and I enter the house that was once upon a time always clean and is now filled with toys everywhere.
"Hey, sis" I say when I meet Natalie playing with the kids uno.
