CHAPTER 68

"Wow, that went much better then I expected" I say once everyone leaves. It's now evening and me and Vally are laying on the couch watching tv.

"Aren't you hungry?" I ask him.
"Jeez,  Cake. You ate like 5 pieces and now you hungry already" he says and I just frown. We ordered pizza since none of us had the energy to cook. But those pizzas tasted dry and got quickly digested taking me to square one of being hungry.

"I also don't understand why I'm hungry again but I'm going to make some food cause I can't take it" I say getting up and going to the kitchen. I first go to the bedroom and change into my pyjamas. I accidentally bump my purse and it falls down.

I go on my knees and pick it up. I stop in the process as I find the little piece of paper with my mother's address. "Cake" Vally comes to the room and finds me sitting down on the floor. I never forgot about it. I just am confused as to what I should do next.

"I thought you fainted so I made noodles" he comes with a bowl and joins me on the floor. He takes the paper from me and reads it. "Her address" he asks and I just shake my head taking the bowl from him and eating the chicken flavoured noodles.

"So when do you want us to go find her?" He asks me. I blink repeatedly and stare into space.

"I don't know Vally... nurse Merlin said mom didn't want me to track her down" I tell him. He takes the empty bowl from me and holds my hands while looking me in the eye.

"Brittney. Follow your heart. I followed mines and it lead me to you. If I hadn't followed it imagine the pain I would have been in.. I wouldn't have found closure or learnt forgiveness.. I forgave my father and I'm trying to build what he had broken and it's all because of you" he says and I just want to cry. He did something he never thought of doing and it's cause of me.

"Now. Follow your heart it will lead you to your ultimate destiny" he finishes off and I blush. I look down at my chest and ask myself what is it that my heart wants?.

"Morning cake" Vally comes in the room with a towel wrapped around his waist and another one on his shoulder. He has water dripping from his wet curly messy hair going down to his bare six pack. He comes and kisses me on the cheek.

"Morning. You up early" I say rubbing my eyes.
"Yes cake. I waited for you to wake up but it seems like you needed the extra sleep" he says drying his hair with the towel on his shoulder. I hide inside the blanket since I am getting wild thoughts. I am in need of morning glory.

I did need the extra sleep because I was deciding what to do. The whole night I kept tossing and turning thinking about my next step. I have reached a conclusion and it's to go and find her. I owe her much for all the nine months she kept me in her tummy.

"You go shower and I'll make breakfast" he says and I get out of bed. His completely naked and I close my eyes. I almost trip on my own slippers but make it out safely. Little Vabri comes and plays around with my feet.

"Hey mommas boy" I say playing with him. His growing up everyday and now now I'm sure he'll be a teenager. That's if animals also go through those phases of life.

"Okay. Vabri that's enough. My cake needs to bath" Vally comes out of the room in red shorts and a vest that hugs his muscles. I get up and go to the bathroom. Standing by the zinc and looking at myself I smile.

"Soon, very soon. Brittney. Just a few hours and I'll meet her. My life will be complete once again" I say to myself. I wash up and go take a cold shower that will wash my nerves out and into the drain.

After my shower I dress into a yellow summer dress and sandals. I blow dry my hair and put it in a ponytail. Finally getting done I go to the kitchen. "What's that smell?" I ask him. He takes out the apron and looks at me confused.
