Movie/Game : N/a / Resident Evil 6 (Pier's death)
-------------------
You sat waiting inside of a hospital in China, people voices were quiet all around you as you sat in your own thoughts that buried your senses. Your boot lightly tapped the floor as you sat there, Your arms over your chest as you sat. You were in recovery in the hospital for the past couple days after your mission with Chris' team went haywire. Knowing you couldn't be shipped off to B.S.A.A headquarters until you were cleared for travel. The hostages were fine in the end that you all had saved. But when the building came down you were lucky enough to make it out with the injuries you had. It was a simple mistake one could make, standing a bit to close to the building as it collapsed. Some rubble fell on to you from the top as you stood where you thought you would be fine. Fate had other plans for you though from what it seemed as parts of the building started to fall around and on you. Scratching you up, wounding you and sending you on conscious and before you knew it you were back at the headquarters in a hospital bed.
At first things seemed blurry, bits and pieces of the mission were blank to you as you laid in that bed for hours and hours. Your head throbbed as you laid there, staring out the small window in your room given to you. It was useless putting up a fight to leave your room, you had already tried and they assured you that it would be safer to stay here then to wonder around with your injuries. A mild concussion was diagnosed along with a fractured wrist and some minor cuts. But the reason why you wanted to leave wasn't because you were sick of being stuck in the same room with no answers as to what was going on. It was because you had no idea where your fiance was and if the mission was still ongoing from where you had to take your departure.
You had met Piers through the agency, being stuck on the same team and from what some liked to say the team for the best of the best. He intrigued you, not for his bravery, for his skill or for his cockiness he could have on occasion. It was his passion and his determination that dragged you in along with your heart that picked up the pace when around him. The more time with him you felt yourself becoming more and more attracted to him. You couldn't pin point it at a simple thing, rather his whole self, looks, charm, and personality that reeled you in. He was caring to his team and towards you. Always seeming to have your back when you thought no one did. He always seemed to know what to say and when to say it. That was why you loved him so much and that love just continued to grow as time went on.
Simple moments of the day he seemed to always be there, breakfast, training, recon, all of it. The moments where you had thought you were alone he always seemed to ruin those overthinking thoughts. A friendship building over time that you never thought you would have in your time working here. Being that every day was something different, whether it be dangerous or boring.
As time went on slowly, flirting started to happen, moments when one would fluster the other. Making you question your friendship with him for a while as this act continued on. People started to ask if you were dating, if you had interest in him. Their reactions either making you happy you felt this way for him or scared to admit you had any feelings at all. But the true test of all of that happened when he had asked you on a date which you so gladly accepted. Then that date turned in to two as time went on from how well it want. Then it turned in to 5, to 10 within a year, to him asking you the big question of starting a relationship. Of course you accepted, it was hard at first though which was something you did expect. Not the relationship part of course, it was rather easy and gave you so much joy. It was the fact that being in a relationship was often frowned upon in work like spaces. You two worked in a serious group, an agency set on saving the world of bioterrorism.
If some one had caught wind of your relationship you thought you both were done for. Which was why you decided to keep it secret from the others as best you could even though you didn't want to. Your relationship bloomed non the less though, even with the hard times, work and missions. You two were inseparable, sparing every free moment together and when you were at work you always teamed up and grouped with each other. Weaseling your way in to having jobs together instead of one being on recon or some other mission. Sneaking your way to each others rooms during the night once everyone was settled in. Enjoying each other's company whether it be a simple night of snuggling or one thing leading to another.
