"You're not suggesting we ride this thing?" Your partner asked as you entered the new section of the mine after the two men you shared your journey with. Your eyes wandered around the area lit with lamps and torches you were surprised they hadn't gone out by now. The mine smelled of oil and smoke as you walked inside, your gun still pressed firmly in your gloved hand. Not wanting to take the chance of putting it away so soon with the track record you all have had of any peaceful time being ruined in a matter of seconds. With a turn on your heel you managed to make your way closer to them. Watching as the Spaniard dropped down on to the small section the track had set on. He seemed persistent on heading to the old mine cart that lay abandoned there, already giving off a bad feeling about how rusty it was as it sat there against the metal track.

"Do you see any other way?" He asked with a cocky sound to his voice as his hand tapped the side of the cart. Trying to act like the ride was dependable when it seemed like a rusted old bucket with wheels to you. Your eye brow raised as you watched him down below, a shudder crept up your back at the thought of riding that thing out of here. Sadly knowing he was telling the truth, there was no better way to escape or even continue forward in the mine unless you took this route. Not wanting to admit the brunette was right your boots clicked against the old wood. Lowering yourself down to his level right before the cart as well.

If you were being fairly honest the cart seemed like the least of your worries at the moment. On the scale of what you have dealt with tonight and the fatality rate the cart would hold a lower scale for now until the ride started. Knowing you have dealt with way worse and the night sadly wasn't even over yet as your mission was incomplete for now.

"There really isn't a way to continue forward unless it's through there Leon. Let's just get this over with so we can get the hell out of here" You exclaimed as your hands gripped the cold metal sides of the cart, lifting your body weight up until your legs touched the inside of the cart. Crouching down just like the Spaniard was just then catching his grin before your vision was back on your partner before you.

"That's the spirit. Hey, give us a push Sancho!" Luis called out, excitement laced with his words as he stayed at the front of the cart. Watching as Leon jumped down off the ledge to join you both at the cart.

"Who are you calling "Sancho"?" The dirty blonde replied as his hands pressed up against the back of the cart. Taking a few big steps as he pushed the mine cart with all of his strength before stepping on that back once it gained enough momentum to keep it going. A satisfied smile returned to the Spaniard's face as you clutched on to the side of the cart. Feeling it shifted as it started to move against the rails on its own. As you gazed back to your partner your hand reached out. Helping him stand inside the cart so he had some way to keep steady. The dark blonde shot you a gratified look as he stepped inside.

"There. It's moving. This should speed things up a bit" Luis called out as he faced forward, trying to see what was a head of your three on this old ride that hopefully wouldn't fall a part in a few seconds tops.

"I can't believe I'm doing this" Leon replied, no amusement in his words.

"Hey, we're in a hurry, right? Oh...and by the way"

"What now?"

"Hope you like thrill rides"

"What do you mean "thrill rides?" You asked, feeling the weight shift in the cart as it dropped tremendously. A shaky scream escaped from your lips as you clutched the sides of the cart, feeling your stomach drop upon the impact as the cart glided across the tracks that led downward at a great speed. Already hating that you decided to go along with this plan the Spaniard had in mind. As the tracks started to level out you realized they were starting to incline at an angle.
