The road was covered in a thick layer of ice as the snow continued to fall in large chunks from the gloomy sky above. The wind shield wipers of the car squealed and squeaked as they worked as hard as they could on the maximum speed that the car had. Which in the end probably wasn't fast enough as it attempted to wipe the snow away that continued to fall at a fast pace that was beyond imaginable. Snow storms were common, the ones where you could barely see 10 feet in front of you. The ones where even your headlights of your car couldn't push past through the darkness that the beautiful snow surrounded the area in as it fell from the sky and coated the ground in layers upon layers up until it would stop which wouldn't be for hours.

Snow was a beautiful sight and definitely a scenery you could watch for hours bundled up inside. Yet this situation was one you wouldn't rather be in, in fact you would much rather be anywhere but where you were at the moment. Trapped in a car ride with your husband you couldn't stand to be around anymore as he hated your presence. Not understanding why in your right mind would you agree to go on a trip with him out here in the middle of nowhere. You were on good terms once before which was sad to say in your 5 years of marriage. Everything was sweet and happy at first, nice gestures, compliments, and bonding. Date nights he would take you on, and passionate nights together. Yet it seemed as if he played you for an ignorant fool that fell for his plan of wrath since after around the year and a half maybe two year mark he started to change more drastically. It wasn't like he didn't have issues before, the little anger outbursts and the short temper. But in your mind you thought "Hey we can handle it together, he wouldn't do anything to me right?". Yeah, well you were so wrong about that statement long ago and regretted now more than ever. Making a constant reminder in your head of how stupid and how gullible you were. Wishing you could just reverse time back before you even met him in order to fix the problem of having him in your life.

But here you were, stuck in the passenger seat as he drove the car you both shared out in the middle of nowhere that couldn't handle snow very well. Too scared to tell him that choosing this car was a bad idea in the first place since you didn't want to earn a slap to the face for being annoying. Though his complaining was quite funny you could admit, hearing him sigh and grunt before complaining about every little thing going wrong because of his decisions. Yet he acted as if this wasn't all of his fault and everything was to blame for something else irrelevant. He was the one who decided to drive out here, he decided you both needed this trip when you knew you didn't, it was his fault the car was getting stuck in snow and potholes from how awful the dirt road was.

"Why are you smiling, are you enjoying this?" He suddenly broke you from your thoughts as you stared out the window, turning your head back to face him he had his gaze on you instead of the road. He looked frustrated like he has been this whole time on the road, except it was aimed toward you now which was something you didn't wish to happen at all after his excuse that he wouldn't do that to you on this trip. Hearing that excuse so many times before after you were skeptical on even being around him this close for so long out here.

"N-No I" You started to stutter, your hands in your lap slightly raised to try and defuse the situation at hand that you knew you couldn't stop after it was started. Seeing the anger in his eyes as he scoffed at you, as if you were automatically lying through your teeth when you only said a mere two words without explaining yourself to him.

"It looks like to me you're enjoying my misery isn't that right?" He asked with a bitter expression on his face as he laughed to himself. Your eyes were back on the road in front of you he failed to look at. Desperation on your face to make him focus back on driving rather than looking at you like he has done for the past minute or so.
