--------------------

It was hard to think you had just started to like the inmate that had forced his way into your life just hours before now. It was desperate times yes, you were aboard a train with these creatures that could kill you in a few seconds. Dead passengers rose from the dead, dead dogs, mutated scorpions and even more hell that awaited you all. Being trained in S.T.A.R.S was one thing but these creatures were on a whole different level of fucked up when you had fought them. You would be lying if you didn't say you weren't thankful for him being there when he was. Yes he was the person of interest you were supposed to keep an eye out for. The prisoner that your team thought was a mass murderer. But truthfully he was just a nice guy that was framed.

In the beginning you never thought it would have worked out between you. Two S.T.A.R.S members working together with a convict. Never would you have seen the day you would have decided this would be okay. But the times were hard and at that point you were more concerned with if you could even make it out of the situation alive or not. Sure Billy was cocky, arrogant and stubborn. But he was tough as nails and was actually compassionate when the time was right. Caring if Rebecca was in trouble or if you had gotten hurt in a fight with your un-dead enemies on the train and the mansion that followed after your destination was at a stop as the train derailed. He fought with you and stuck by your side like glue. Knowing how scared you were as you all explored the mansion and the secrets inside the walls.

It was a troublesome few hours, but you could have safely said you trusted him with your life. Growing accustomed to him working with you, his mannerisms and how quiet he would get if things were getting serious or dangerous. How he would peer over your shoulder at you searching through documents and information. Or how he would help you up to high ledges and push things for you if they were too heavy just out of pity as he would say even though he wanted to help you as much as he could. You cared for him even though you weren't supposed to, knowing your friendship was wrong to have yet you liked trusting him. You liked having him around, having someone have your back that wasn't ordered to for once. Mutual respect that appeared on both ends and just continued to grow the more you fought and protected each other.

The more time you spent with him the more you liked being around him. So when you were about to leave with the rail car after going through hell to even get there. Watching him be pushed over the edge by a rabid monkey that had managed to sneak up on you all. It broke your heart in a way you couldn't explain. You screamed his name, reaching out to him as if you could pull him back from the fall and he would be safe in your arms. You watched him fall, guilt over taking you as Rebecca had to force you on to the rail car to continue on. Reminding you that Billy will be okay and that you had to get out of there. Knowing she was right you followed her lead to try and find a way out of this horrid place. Keeping Billy in the back of your mind as you continue on.

You were silent as you stood in the elevator, tired as you stood with dried blood that coated your clothes. The fight with whatever that mutated monster was took a lot out of you, especially when it managed to fling you against the rubble where it made its entrance before. Your finger reached up, wiping away some blood that fell from a scratch on your cheek. Wincing at the sudden touch against the open wound. The hope that you could make it home alive was what was keeping you going at this point. Only knowing that there had to be more obstacles ahead that would keep you from progressing. A sigh escaped your lips as you felt the elevator stop, a small ding was heard from the top as it flashed the number of the floor you were on. The doors slowly opened, letting you and Rebecca out into a new area you would have to fight your way through. You glanced around, hearing water rushing down below from the drainage plant. Yet as you continued on you thought your mind was playing tricks on you. You raced toward the edge of the railing,
