Addison and Jake got home and the former went to the porch to see if Fleurette has a car. What she ended up finding was nothing.
"I think she's not home yet," Jake said as he came up behind her. "I just checked with Mom about it."
Addison pouted. "Right. By the way, you didn't see how she came?"
Jake shook his head. "No, but I'm betting that Mom did."
So the two of them went in and looked for Felicia. She was in the kitchen and in the middle of feeding Frida and Freesia.
"Mom, did you see how Fleurette came earlier?" Jake asked. "Like, did she bring a car or did she come by taxi, or did she like... walk?"
Felicia couldn't help but laugh. "You guys came just to ask me that?"
"Yeah..." Addison piped up. "How did she come?"
"She came by bike," Felicia said, looking up from the puppies. "It was a pretty large bike too."
For some reason, that made Addison proud. "Whoa..."
"I know, so cool, right?" Felicia grinned as she straightened herself. "A biker girl."
Jake smirked. "Nice."
"Also, I need to go up to my room," Addison said. "Need to be ready for Galante class."
She rushed up the steps and set an egg and a sweet potato to boil before going to the bathroom. Her room was steamier than the bathroom, so she had to open a window, and Addison checked on the food before video calling her mother on her tablet.
"Also, the new tenant is here!" Addison grinned as she announced. "It's a lady named Fleurette Greyson and she's a research scientist."
"Whoa..." her whole family uttered in unison.
"And she's also a biker girl," Addison added with a smirk.
"Whoa!" Edgar and Madison exclaimed together.
"I know!" Addison giggled. "She seems like a really cool person."
"Maybe she should give you guys class instead," Edward piped up. "After all, she does sound older and more experienced than your Galante fella."
"Well, yeah I guess," Addison shrugged. "But she's not the one grading our assignments."
Alison nodded understandingly. "True that."
Addison went to the cooker and checked if the egg and potato were done before plating them while talking to her family about breakfast and Giuseppe's amazing coffee. She then mashed the egg after peeling it and emptied a small pack of mayonnaise over it before adding some pepper. Addison made herself an egg sandwich and had that before consuming the boiled sweet potato. It seemed like a very nutritious meal, and it was since it was way better than eating junk food.
"But there was this thing that happened when she walked in at the end of Jeff's shift," Addison said. "Jeff told her to have a nice day after she had done paying and she didn't even respond to that as she patted my shoulder and left. Some customers would return that, some would just smile, while some would say thank you. It's not always we see weirdos that don't respond at all."
"Let me guess," Alison smirked. "You're gonna put that on your case file."
Addison's face slowly broke into a smirk too. "Of course I am. I'll do it right after dinner."
Madison burst into laughter. "Oh, Addie."
They were all seated in the dining hall for Galante Class when Fleurette came in. Her bike made such a ruckus too and she made a beeline straight to the dining hall with her helmet tucked under one arm.
"What is going on here?" Fleurette asked. "Are you guys doing homework?"
"Yes, we are having class," Galante said, looking up from an essay. "I'm also doing some work as well."
Fleurette nodded, smiling slightly. "Yes, I can see that. What's this about?"
"Well, Mr Galante here is also our lecturer in college," Jordan said. "And since he also lives with us, he tutors us in the nights."
"And you don't mind doing this for free?" Fleurette looked at Giuseppe in surprise.
Giuseppe shook his head. "Not at all." He eyed the rest as if to warn them of a secret best kept hidden.
Fleurette nodded. "Well, okay, then. I'll retire to my room."
Felicia exited the kitchen just then, holding Frida, and that was somehow enough for Fleurette to gasp and back away. "Is that a dog? I didn't know you guys had a dog!"
"We actually have two dogs," Felicia said. "This one's Frida. Freesia is still in the kitchen."
"This was not in the agreement, I'm allergic to dogs!" Fleurette backed away a little more.
Jordan looked a little annoyed. "Well, so am I, but I love dogs. You want some allergy medication?"
Fleurette left the room just then, much to their surprise.
"Is she okay...?" Addison asked, surprised. "She seemed... horror-stricken."
"She does," Felicia nodded. "I guess that was my mistake. I should have stated it on the website."
"I'll go talk to her, if you want," Jake got up. He turned to Giuseppe. "I'll be back in a minute."
Giuseppe nodded and watched him leave. "Don't tell her about the discount I'm getting for tutoring you guys. I have to tell Jake about this as well."
"Yeah, we won't," Jordan nodded.
Felicia frowned slightly. "Well, she does seem like the kind of person who would also demand a discount or try to offer to teach y'all too."
Addison frowned slightly. "Am I the only one who didn't read much of her?"
"Yes," everyone said at once.
Giuseppe looked at Jordan. "You... what do you think?"
Jordan shrugged. "Well, she did panic at the sight of Frida when she doesn't even go upstairs. Besides, she's just a puppy and Felicia was holding her."
Addison nodded. "Yeah, that was a little strange."
"I'm not even a big fan of dogs, but I'm fine with them," Jordan added. "As long as they don't disturb me and trigger my allergies, I'm fine. Besides, they're adorable so I don't really mind."
Felicia smiled as she joined them at the table. Frida had run off to the kitchen at this point. "Yeah, same. I wasn't really a fan either, but who can say no to Frida and Freesia?"
Jake returned just then, wearing a slight smile. "Fleurette says she's fine with those dogs so long as they don't come to her room. I told her that they won't even come upstairs and she looked relieved."
"Okay, that's good," Addison nodded. "At least we know that she's not..." she shrugged.
"That she's not overly dramatic?" Giuseppe smirked.
Addison smirked as well. "Yeah, that. Even Jordan is fine with it."
"And I am deathly allergic to them as well," Jordan added. "But you don't see me complaining about it, do you?"
"Yeah, you just quietly stay away from them," Jake added. "Anyway, let's get back to class."
Galante smirked. "Right, we were in the middle of that."
