Addison didn't get to see the Superhero for over a week, but was surprised once when they appeared at the shop during her shift. Fiolina hadn't arrived yet, so it was just them.
"Oh, you're here again," Addison smiled. "Well, I guess... make yourself at home, take whatever you like, and I might treat you to some tea as well."
The Superhero turned to look at her in surprise at the last bit, but reverted back to going over to the food warmer to get something. It seemed like they were interested in trying the newly added empanadas.
"They're really good," Addison piped up. "I had a few just before you arrived."
The Superhero nodded at her and proceeded to take a few out to microwave.
"Hey, about the tea," Addison piped up, stepping out from behind the counter to go over to the Superhero. "What would you like? We have everything from green tea to kombucha. What shall it be?"
Superhero gave her a long look and Addison could tell that it was a strange look.
"It's okay if you don't want anything," Addison piped up.
Superhero shrugged and followed her to the tea fridge. They scanned the shelves for a moment, then picked up a glass bottle of kombucha from the shelf.
"You like kombucha?" Addison asked as she brought Superhero back to the counter. "Is it good? Because I've never tried it before."
The Superhero shrugged once again in response and nodded. Addison shrugged and bought the kombucha, which was somehow more expensive than the other bottles of tea, but she didn't really mind. She was also wondering if she should buy herself a bottle to try as well and started thinking of any breathing room in her bank account.
Superhero soon returned with the empanadas, a cup that contained all flavours of Slurp-Slurp, a strawberry cream doughnut, and a bar of chocolate with peanuts and caramel. Addison scanned everything and Superhero paid with a twenty-dollar note. Addison pushed everything over after handling the purchase and Superhero gathered everything before going over to the table beside the window.
It took some time for Addison to realise that there was still one more thing on the counter, which was the bar of chocolate that the Superhero bought.
"Superhero, you forgot your chocolate," Addison said as she went to give him the bar.
But Superhero merely shook his head and pointed a hand at her.
"Huh?" Addison tilted her head, not understanding what he meant. She just went to the table and placed the chocolate in front of the Superhero.
Superhero let out a soft sigh and took the chocolate before gently taking her hand, then placed the bar on it.
"What?" Addison uttered in surprise. "Are you saying that this chocolate is for me?"
The Superhero nodded and sat back down again, much to Addison's surprise, and turned to the first empanadas.
"Come on, Superhero, you didn't have to do this," Addison groaned. "Is it not enough that you always save my life?"
Superhero shook her head and held up the bottle of kombucha before pointing at her. Addison couldn't help but smile.
"I feel like you're a really generous person," Addison sighed. "Well, I'm not surprised. You go out on your way to help the whole of Spring Valley in the nights for nothing in return."
Superhero held peace signs beside his face before realising that he was sitting in the wrong chair and switched spots so that her back would be to the counter. Addison couldn't help but shook her head, a slight smile on her face.
"Oh, Superhero," Addison sighed.
Then, she turned her attention to her phone and decided to take write down her thoughts to sort of document this moment she had with Superhero. She was so engrossed in it that she didn't notice the Superhero standing before the counter once again.
That was until she heard a knock on the counter. Addison looked up in surprise to see the Superhero writing something down on a notepad.
"Are you giving me a grocery list?" Addison asked, slightly amused.
The Superhero nodded and tore the page off after writing a few more lines before handing it to her.
"Okay, so it's a note for me?" Addison said as she brought the note closer to read. "Better not be a 'thank you' note."

I have no clue who else to tell, but I feel like I'm being followed sometimes. I am not scared for MY safety, but I do always come to this shop. Please watch your back. You seem to do very little of that.

Sincerely,
Superhero.

P. S. Thanks for the kombucha. And stop staring at your chocolate instead of eating it.

Addison was a little surprised that the handwriting was actually very neat, but the letters were obnoxiously large and deeply indented into the paper. It was obvious that Superhero didn't want the handwriting to be traced very easily.
"Come on, I wasn't staring at the chocolate," Addison sighed and pulled the chocolate closer. "By the way, I'm putting this in my diary." She frowned slightly. "You sure someone's following you?"
Superhero shrugged.
"It could be the media, ya know?" Addison suggested. "Because... you're a valuable source. Trust me, I should know. I'm taking Mass Communications in college."
Superhero nodded and pointed at her, then at the note.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll be careful," Addison sighed. "My friend Jake will pick me up later. I think you've seen him a few times."
Superhero nodded.
"Need anything else?" Addison asked.
Superhero shook his head and went right back to the table to finish whatever that was left of his meal.

Superhero disappeared just before Fiolina arrived and Addison showed her the note.
"Come on, as if you don't get into enough trouble in the streets of Spring Valley," Fiolina groaned as she thrusted the note back to her. "And now the Superhero himself is giving you a warning note."
Addison shrugged in a way that said 'it is what it is', which was not good enough for Fiolina.
"No, Amiga, none of that, call Jake now and ask him to take you home," Fiolina retorted.
"Fio, come on," Addison groaned. "He's still at work. Besides, he is coming later. He already told me."
Fiolina seemed satisfied at that, but frowned at her. "Hey, Addie, I feel like you shouldn't tell anyone about this note that you received from Superhero, especially not to that new housemate of yours."
"Why not?"
Fiolina shrugged. "I'm not sure, but I just feel like it... there's something off about her. I told you earlier, right?"
Addison nodded. "Right. We kept the fact that Superhero stops by the shop from her too." She smirked and leaned towards the counter. "But what if... she's the Superhero under the mask?"
"Then, let her be," Fiolina smirked back. "Because if that's the case, we're doing a good job by not letting her secret out."
"Yeah," Addison smiled and placed the note into the back of the paperback novel in her bag. "Also, if it makes you feel any better, Jake is on his way and he finally bought us trousers shawarmas for dinner."
Fiolina lit up. "Oh! Tell me if it's good so that I can try to get one for myself too!"
