As usual, Jake came over to pick Addison up. Fiolina was filing her nails at the counter and didn't really pay much attention.
"Mom made dinner," Jake announced with a smirk as soon as he came in. "And I'm not gonna buy any Itchy-Buns this time."
Addison smiled. "Felicia is the best. But I think I'll get something for breakfast just in case."
Jake shook his head. "No need. She's inviting you guys down for breakfast as well because a new tenant is coming in the morning."
That got Fiolina's attention. "Well! Am I invited?" She batted her eyelashes at them.
"I'll ask my mom about it," Jake simply said. "I'll have Addie inform you about it later."
Fiolina grinned. "Okay!"
Addison chuckled and waved at her before leaving with the blond.
"Do you think your mother will let Fio come?" Addison asked as they walked towards Jake's car. "I mean, she would love Fio, but Jordan is a little scared and even claims that he's in 'hot soup' with your mother."
Jake shrugged. "I'm honestly not sure. She adores that painting of herself that Jordan had done for her, but I do still see some tension. You know what, let's just ask her and see what happens."
Addison shrugged. "Sure."
The ride home was short and Addison decided to tell Jake about the lunch they got from the new vegetarian restaurant.
"The food was actually really good," Addison said. "And they served it with brown rice too, very filling."
"Sounds healthy," Jake nodded slowly. "Maybe I should ask Mom to order lunch there sometime instead of cooking. It's tiring work, I'm not sure how she does it."
"Yeah," Addison agreed. "But hey, you said a new tenant was coming? How come Galante didn't get this treatment when he was coming in?"
"Who knows? Maybe it's because the new tenant is a girl."
"Then why didn't I get a feast on my first day?"
Jake started laughing. "Okay, then it's not that. Maybe Mom just wants to treat her guests better since we're all practically family now."
Addison couldn't help but smile. "That's true. Felicia takes care of Jordan and I, maybe even Giuseppe, like she's our mother."
"That's true," Jake smiled back. "Then again, you guys do feel like family to me as well."
"Aww," Addison chuckled. "You know, it's only because of you guys do I not get homesick so much? I feel at home with you guys."
"Mom will be glad to hear that. That's exactly how she wants you guys to feel."

When they arrived home, they found Giuseppe helping Felicia clean out the vacant room beside Addison's. There wasn't much to be done, just some light dusting and a change of bedding. The girls that previously lived there didn't really leave much of a mess.
"Anything I can help with?" Jake asked as he came up with Addison at his heels.
"No, we're almost done here," Felicia said. "Giuseppe offered to help. Thanks, by the way."
"Come on, it's nothing," Giuseppe smiled. He frowned at the curtains that he had just put up. "Maybe I should leave more lines in between each hook."
"I can help with that," Addison immediately offered. "This is like the curtains back at home. I always help my mom with this."
Giuseppe took the curtains down again and it was revealed that he had only left two lines between each hook. Together, they took the hooks out and put them back in with more lines between them. When that was done, Giuseppe put the curtain back up, and it looked perfect.
"Great, now for the second one," Giuseppe said as he turned away from the window.
"I'll help with that," Jake piped up. "You go on, Addie. I'll take care of it."
"Well, I can't just leave when you still need help," Addison pointed out. "There must be something that I can do, right?"
"Maybe you can get the bathroom rug," Felicia finally said. "It's on the landing outside."
Addison nodded and set off to get it before placing it before the bathroom. The Kennedys, mainly Felicia, had every room renovated with a bathroom so that guests wouldn't have to share bathrooms. It also made the rent a little more expensive so there was more profit there too. And of course, there's also the air conditioning. Felicia set up a strict rule that if a guest overused the air conditioner, they would have to pay a sum for the electrical bill. Addison was just glad that she only used it at night and that the cost was already included into her rent.
When everything was complete, Felicia sprayed a generous amount of air freshener and closed the door behind them.
"Alright, everyone, go collect yourselves," Felicia said. "We will be having dinner in a while."
"Excellent," Jordan grinned as he reached the top step.
Jake remembered something just as he spotted the redhead and went to his mother. "Mom, is it okay if Jordan's girlfriend comes over for breakfast tomorrow?"
Felicia looked at him in surprise. "Whose girlfriend now?"
"Jordan's," Jake repeated, smiling sheepishly. "When I told Addie about the breakfast tomorrow, she asked if she could come as well, since she hadn't met you and whatnot."
"Yeah, we always talk about you to her," Addison added. "All good things, of course."
Felicia frowned slightly, then turned to the redhead, who looked just as confused as she did. "You didn't invite her?"
Jordan shrugged. "I'm just hearing about this. But I would like it if Fio comes over for breakfast. That is, if you're okay with it."
"Okay..." Felicia nodded slightly. "Okay, then. Let her come. I will be preparing a hearty meal, anyway. Let her come."
Jake smiled, his dimples clear now. "Thanks, Mom."
"Thanks, Mrs Kennedy," Jordan smiled as well.
Felicia smiled and gave them a slight nod before making her way downstairs.
Giuseppe placed a hand on Jordan's shoulder and pulled him aside slightly. "You know, it would've helped more if you had come a few minutes earlier and helped out to clean the room for a new tenant."
Jordan looked at him in surprise. "Hold up, now, there's a new tenant coming?"
"Yep," Addison chuckled. "Another new tenant!"
"Come on," Jordan eyed Giuseppe, who looked at him indifferently. "Wonder how that's gonna turn out."
"Surely better than the last one," Giuseppe smirked, giving him a rough shake with an arm wrapped around him. "Especially for you."
Addison chuckled and decided to retreat into her room. "Okay, I'm gonna take a shower. See you guys downstairs for dinner, yeah?"
The men murmured agreements and split ways as well. Addison placed her backpack on the bed and prepared for a nice hot shower.
