Addison walked into work with a large bag of clean clothes and her other hand holding a large plastic bag, one and a half hours before her shift. Jeff stared at her in surprise, he could tell that the giant tote held clothes, but the other bag emanated a delicious smell.
"What's for lunch?" Jeff grinned, watching as she placed the clothes bag on the ground and the plastic bag on the table. "Smells delicious."
Addison smirked and just turned the tied bag so that it would face him. Jeff gasped as soon as he saw the name of the restaurant on the bag.
"Yep, you wanna join me?" She asked, seating herself to open the bag.
"Umm... then what about you?" Jeff asked. "I don't wanna finish your food."
Addison snorted, using her nails to pry the knot off plastic bag. "I got some for you as well. My treat for confronting Jordan yesterday. That was... that was something else."
Jeff sighed as he stepped out from the counter. "Well, yeah. I've seen the stuff you went through for him, and that weirdo made you cry yesterday. That's unfair."
"So, you don't like it when things go unfair, huh?" Addison sat down again and started unpacking the plastic bag.
"Yes," Jeff nodded as he pulled the chair to join her. "I've seen a lot of that in my lifetime, and I want to stop as much of it as I can."
"That's nice," Addison smiled as she placed a container of soup in front of him, then proceeded to rummage the bag for spoons. "You're a good friend, Jeff. And a good dude."
Jeff smiled back and helped her take the plastic bag away so that they can properly analyse what's on the table. "Also, thanks for this. I was just thinking about going over to Benny Dodgers' when you came up."
"Must be starving, huh?" Addison chuckled as she segregated everything. "Alright, let's eat."
"Better keep my hands clean in case a customer walks in," Jeff reminded himself as he opened his soup container. "Also, did he apologise?"
Addison chuckled and gave him a full recount of what happened the night before, from the second Jordan stepped into the shop and to the second she entered her room back at home.
Jeff nodded slowly as he processed her story, stirring his croutons into his soup to soften them. "So he got his girlfriend a coffee and a chicken croissant while you just got a hot cocoa? I know, he should treat his girlfriend better and whatnot, but he kinda messed up yesterday."
"The hot cocoa is actually more expensive compared to the coffee," Addison pointed out, biting a piece of her chicken. "But the chicken croissant does cost like ten bucks."
"A hefty price for just a piece of chicken on bread," Jeff shrugged, spooning some of the softened croutons from his soup. "But I guess he still did pay for your drink. That's nice, I guess."
"Yeah, but I find it nicer that you went all the way to put some sense in him," Addison smiled as she carefully tore the chicken off the bone. "Not a lot of people do that for me."
Jeff shrugged. "Well, I felt bad for you, seeing how you did do a lot for him, he made his conflicts so public that it affected you a lot as well. And he had the nerve to insult you like that."
"Ah, leave that be, he made up for it with hot cocoa," Addison shrugged. "So, I'm treating you to some Benny Dodgers now."

Addison entered the house with Jake and groaned as soon as she spotted Giuseppe in the living room yet again, this time dressed up in a fancy but still casual suit with his cologne scenting the whole house. Beside him, was a pile of baggage.
"Oh, you're waiting for someone?" Jake asked.
Giuseppe nodded, pushing up his orange-tinted glasses. "Yeah, my date. She's a little late today."
"Date?" Addison repeated in surprise.
"Come on, it's that shocking?" Giuseppe groaned. "I'm human too."
Addison scratched her head, grinning sheepishly. "Sorry about that. I didn't know you had a girlfriend, you never talk about her."
"That's because I didn't see any reason to tell you about her," Giuseppe shrugged.
Jordan entered just then, smirking mischievously. "You have a girlfriend? And she's coming?"
Giuseppe sighed. "Yeah, feast your eyes all you want. She wants to meet you guys too."
"Oh," Addison grinned and sat herself. "So, we can wait for her, then?"
"I told Francesca about this, but she was still so excited," Giuseppe shook his head.
Jordan yawned, stretching his arms back. "Is she gonna take long? I'm due for a shower."
"Then, don't go stretching out your armpits like that," Jake said as he pulled Jordan's arm down. "You stink."
Jordan clicked his tongue and straightened himself. The doorbell rang before he could clap back and Felicia excitedly went to answer the front door.
"Hi!" Felicia didn't even fully open the door before Francesca greeted her. "Oh, you must be Mrs Kennedy. Giuseppe always talks about how you prepare nice dinners for the tenants."
Felicia smiled and opened the door wider to let her in. "Yes, that's me. How about you have a drink before leaving?"
Giuseppe chuckled and got up to hug his girlfriend. "You made it."
"Well, yeah," Francesca squeezed him. "You sent me the precise location. I just keyed it into PickYou and here I am."
Felicia rushed past Jordan to get Francesca something to drink. The redhead smirked and came up. Francesca smiled at him. "Ah, you must be Jordan. Your red hair is iconic." She turned to Addison. "And you must be Addie!"
To Addison's surprise, Francesca hugged her. Addison just chuckled and hugged her back.
"Oh, you're right, Giuseppe, she does look a little like Margherita," Francesca said, giving Addison a close look. "Are you a fan of cats too?"
Addison quickly shook her head. "No... but who's Margherita?"
"My sister," Giuseppe piped up. "She's still in Petal Valley, studying law."
"I see," Addison smiled. "You guys make a nice couple."
Francesca giggled. "Thanks."
Felicia soon appeared and sat everyone down with some chamomile tea. They chatted for some time before the couple bade farewell and left.
Addison realised now why Giuseppe was close to her sometimes, and it was a good reason too. She felt relieved to know that it wasn't a crush and actually felt happy for their relationship.
They all retired to their rooms since there weren't any Galante classes tonight. Addison decided to make herself some nice potatoes crisps with egg and carrots for dinner while talking to her family.
