Fiolina walked in an hour before her shift and grabbed a few snacks before seating herself at the table.
"You know, Fleurette came in earlier?" Addison said. "It was near the end of Jeff's shift."
"Oh, how did it go?" Fiolina asked, ripping open her pack of chips.
"He didn't really like her," Addison said. "He said there's something off about her."
Fiolina frowned slightly as she looked at her chips. "Honestly, I don't blame him. I'm getting those vibes as well." She looked up at the other woman. "I thought you had the same feeling too..."
"What do you mean?" Addison tilted her head slightly.
"Well, when she asked if we had encountered the Superhero, you didn't tell him how he crashed in the shop a few times," Fiolina said. "And I didn't say anything either."
Addison nodded. "Yeah, that was a little weird. I mean how I felt. There was a little vibe."
"Yes, so you understand too," Fiolina nodded. "There's just this thing about her, like she's secretly a mean person. Weirdos who turn out to not like you have this vibe."
Addison couldn't help but smirk. "That's oddly specific."
Fiolina smirked back. "Yeah, it is. But yeah, maybe you should keep her at an arm's length, Addie."
"Yeah, I guess," Addison shrugged. "Wait, does she have a car? If so, where is she gonna park? We already have two cars in the garage, one in the driveway, where will a third car go? Did you see any earlier?"
Fiolina shrugged. "Well, I didn't really notice."
Addison sighed. "Same. I'll just keep an eye out when I get home."
The welcome tune blared just then and the two of them half thought that it was Superhero. Turns out, it was just Jeff.
"Oh, hey," Addison grinned as soon as she spotted him. "You don't usually come at this time."
"Well, I happened to have cut myself and I happened to have run out of plasters, and I happened to also be in the area, so yeah," Jeff stated.
"A cut?" Addison gasped. "Show me."
Jeff nonchalantly showed her his finger, which had a pretty deep cut, probably from an uneven piece of metal or even a shard of glass. It was still bleeding too.
"Jeff, seriously, you need the first aid kit," Addison groaned. "Fio, watched the counter for a moment, I need to get the kit from the back room."
Fiolina nodded and got up while Addison rushed off to get the first aid kit. Jeff just stood there, watching everything in surprise.
"I'll get an ice pack just in case," Fiolina said, going over to the back of the shop. "I think I'll just buy it since it's just a dollar."
"Come on, you two are overreacting," Jeff snorted as he stood by the counter.
Fiolina and Addison returned at around the same time. Addison placed the first aid kit at the table and opened it before having Jeff sit in front of her.
"How did this even happen?" Addison asked as she carefully cleaned the small wound with antiseptic ointment.
Jeff shrugged. "Well, somehow my bike's mirror broke and I had to replace it in the workshop outback. And then they gave me the option to either take it back or have them throw it away," he smirked. "I thought it looked cool so I decided to take it with me and I was trying to get rid of the glass at the bin, and somehow a teeny tiny little piece got into my thumb. So that's how it went."
Addison sighed as she opened a bottle of iodine. "Oh, Jeff..."
"Does it hurt?" Fiolina asked. "Does he need an ice pack?"
"Nah, nah, I don't," Jeff quickly said. "It's just a little cut, Addie. You're treating this like I was stabbed or something."
"You have been stabbed," Addison tore open a plaster strip. "Lightly by a piece of glass."
Jeff shrugged one shoulder, grinning. "Eh."
Addison positioned the soft part of the plaster over Jeff's finger and stuck it around his thumb. "There. Don't cut yourself again.
"It doesn't even hurt," Jeff grumbled. "The two of you are overreacting."
"You said you needed some plaster, right?" Fiolina piped up, taking the ice pack back to the freezer. "Wait, let me get one for you."
"Come on, I can get it myself," Jeff said as he made his way to the aisle beside the counter. "I can walk by myself, ya know."
He returned to the counter a few seconds later and Addison handled the payment while Fiolina put the first aid kit away in the back room. "Maybe you should get the ointment as well," Fiolina remarked as she came out.
Addison nodded and went over to the shelf to get a bottle before returning to the counter. "Put your money away, these two is on me."
Jeff looked at her in surprise. "Come on, are you serious?"
"Yes," Addison and Fiolina both said.
"This one's on me since I didn't do anything for you for standing up for Addie," Fiolina said. "Addie already bought you lunch, but I didn't do anything for teaching my boyfriend a lesson."
Jeff couldn't help but smile at her. "I still like how you're not on his side for this despite being his girlfriend."
Fiolina scoffed. "Amigo, being my boyfriend does not give him the excuse to speak to Addie like that."
"Aww," Addison chuckled. "Sure. You're okay with that, Jeff?"
"Sure, I guess," Jeff smirked. "Thanks, Fio."
Fiolina chuckled as Addison finished scanning the things and paid. "Now, take these and go. Keep them with you at all times in your office bag or something."
Jeff nodded. "I will. You two are pretty concerned for me." He placed his hands on his heart. "I'm so flattered."
"Just accept the treatment, Clarkson," Addison said.
"Alright, alright," Jeff grinned. "See you later, Fio. See you tomorrow, Parker."
Addison sighed and shook her head as he left the shop and went to bike parked outside. Jeff put his helmet on and waved at them before zooming off.
"He's a very strange guy," Fiolina couldn't help but say. "And surprisingly very casual. I would scream if my finger was bleeding like that."
"Yeah, well," Addison shrugged. "It wasn't actually that bad."
"I almost got an ice pack for that."
"And that was very kind of you."
Fiolina smiled slightly as she leaned over the table. "Well, yeah. I just felt bad for him. I still can't with how casual he was. Like..." she ended her sentence with a shrug.
Addison nodded. "Well. Also, your chips is still open."
Fiolina gasped and quickly grabbed her open pack of chips to finish it before her shift.
