19 - Fighting Back
We were told to transfer to the other room. Pinaupo kami sa isang malaki at pabilog na mesa. May isang upuan na iba ang kulay at mas malaki sa inuupuan namin at mukhang doon uupo si Mr. Oh.
Sakto pa na kaapat ko ang upuan na 'yon. Naisipan ko na makipagpalit kay Ai pero hindi ko na naituloy dahil bumukas ang pintuan sabay ng pagpasok ng boss namin.
Lumapit muna sandali si Mrs. Ellis, may mga sinabi siya pero hindi ko naintindihan dahil lutang ang isip ko. Sinundan ko ng tingin ang matikas na paglalakad niya at kung paano siya umupo sa pwesto niya. He is just perfect. No wonder why a lot of people are jealous. He is a materpiece.
Nakaupo na siya pero hindi pa rin maalis ang tingin ko. Medyo nanlaki ang mata ko nang tumitig siya pabalik sa akin. Hindi ko alam ang mangyayari pero kinakabahan ako. What is he up to now?
"Good morning Sir." We all said in sync.
He did not say anything back and just looked at us. He looks so serious and cold. He is just sitting right there but still looked so distant.
"You might be wondering why you are all here." Everyone seems startled.
"Why do you think I gathered you all in this room?" No one is answering back. I can sense the nervousness in the air.
"What do you think..." He is looking around us and stopped at one girl. "Miss?" He is now talking to one of the 'rich girls'.
"Uh..I...Ehem..." She is stuttering and immediately became pale as a paper.
"You can't talk straight. Why are you even here?" Oh no. Mister evil is boiling hot.
Mas lalong namutla ang trainee na kausap niya. Napatuwid tuloy siya ng upo at tumikhim bago magsalita. "To be honest Sir... I... I don't know." She answered back.
"Yeah, you look clueless." He carelessly said while scanning the papers in front of him.
Naramdaman ko ang kamay ni Ai sa binti ko kaya tumingin ako sa kanya at nakita ko ang paglunok niya. She did not look back at me but I know she's trying to tell me that she feels scared and uncomfortable. Well, everyone is, even me.
"Why do you think we should hire you after training?" He asked another girl. Mukha namang nagulat ang tinanong niya at muntik pang mahulog sa kinauupuan.
"Ah, Sir?" She asked. "I'm so-sorry. What is that again Sir?"
"Are you deaf?" He brutally asked. "No-no Sir." Mr. Oh sighed and looked around and I'm guessing he is finding someone else to ask.
"Mister wearing an old and grumpy polo shirt, why do you think our people accepted you to train here?" He looked at Isaac, one of the guys. He is wearing a thick glass, he looks like a nerd. Well, basically- he is really a nerd.
