This place is huge, the hotel was massive with wooden beams and large chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The floors were white marble, and the counters had a wooden top that looked like the center of a tree, it is beautiful.

There are only twelve kids that made the trip today, some are coming on Friday in their own cars. "I have the room key, Melody, let's go."

The room has two queen size beds with matching dressers. The ensuite has a large shower with a rain head and a massaging handheld. It has two sinks with mirrors that light up, they're wonderful for doing makeup. The girls both flop down on the beds giggling and enjoying the time away from the pack house.

"Let's go to the indoor pool." Bonnie yells.

"I can't. Not today at least."

"Why not? Girl, you are beautiful in a bikini."

"Not after what Eric did." She lifts her shirt showing Bonnie the bruises on her sides. "He didn't think I should be going on the class trip."

"Someone should do something about him. It is not right he does this to you. That has to hurt."

"He has done a lot worse, so has a lot of the pack. I am a werewolf, the bruises will only last to the end of the day." I lay back down on the bed just staring at the ceiling.

"You don't have your wolf yet, so it won't heal that fast and I know it."

"No, my wolf has been healing me for the last month, I promise. The bruise will be gone by tonight wait and see."

"I am glad she is helping you. Well, girl, you can wear a t-shirt over the bikini. No one will see anything."

There is no one at the pool thankfully, it is just the two of them. They are having so much fun talking about their plans for when school is over. "Did you get the scholarship to Harvard medical school?"

"I did but I can't let dad or Eric find out. They will cancel it and I will get stuck here."

"Are you crazy I wouldn't tell them a thing. I got accepted but I have to pay my way. Mom and dad said they have it covered." Bonnie wants the both of them to go to the same college. That way they could spend the next four years together without all the shit from the pack. "Let's get ready to eat I am starving." They run upstairs change, then go out for dinner.

"I'll pay for it," Bonnie says.

"I can pay for mine. I brought my savings with me. I have saved for the last five years; I can spend a little of it."

"You worked too hard to get that money. You don't spend money on clothes or anything for yourself. So, I will pay for anything you want this trip, this weekend is on me."

"You are the best, bestie there is. I haven't had this much time off in forever. I wish we never had to go back there." Melody is getting sad thinking about her life.

"Hey, knock it off we have this time to have fun, no sad just happy times." She takes her hand, "Let's explore a little."

Friday morning, Melody wakes up hearing Bonnie singing happy birthday bringing her a stack of pancakes with a candle in it. "Here this is for your birthday. Open it."

She opens the box to find the most beautiful dress she has ever seen. It is made of a shimmering material that reflects the light. The dress is full length with slits up to the thighs, the cream color goes perfect with her dark brown hair. "You gave me a dress already you shouldn't keep spending money on me."

"It is for tonight at the dance. You are going to look so beautiful in it. Mom wanted to make this weekend special for you, so she helped me get it for you. She even got you shoes. You know that mom and dad love you, if they could, they would take you in, but the beta won't allow it." Melody was about to cry when Bonnie elbowed her. "Let's eat then go out to the slopes." Bonnie gives her a smile.

The two of them join the rest of the group and spend the day skiing the slopes. When the whole group comes in, they sit by the fire drinking hot chocolate, enjoying the banter with each other. As they leave to go upstairs, in walks Eric, her brother, and the future Alpha Drew.

Drew stops, smells the air. Looking around he spots Melody running up the stairs. After seeing her running away to her room he whispers something in Eric's ear. Bonnie follows Melody catching up to her in the room.

"This has been a good day. We have to get ready for the dinner and the dance." Bonnie says she is trying to lift Melody's spirits after seeing her brother show up.

"I don't think I want to go, not with Eric there and he will have all of the rest of them being assholes to me."

"It is you and me girl, the hell with the rest of them. It's your birthday, do you think I would let you spend it all alone in your room."

"Bonnie, it is going to ruin your evening. He will start something and make it so we have to leave early."

"Not having you there is going to ruin my evening. Come on let's see you in that dress." The two of them get dressed up and look exquisite, ready to party.

"I think I might of made a mistake. You look so good in that dress I won't get a chance with any of the guys."

"You stop all your lying. You look beautiful in that blue dress with the way it hugs your curves and showing off your bare shoulders I don't stand a chance."

"Let's go make them all drool." Bonnie slips her arm in Melody's and they walk into the dance.

When they go downstairs all eyes are on the two of them, several men walk over to Melody asking her to dance. While she is on the dance floor Drew goes over to Bonnie, "Can I have a word with you away from Melody?"

"What can I help you with, Drew?"

"Melody is my mate and I want to surprise her tonight and spend it with her."

"Is this some sort of joke? I'm not going to let you hurt her."

"I'm not going to hurt her, I want her."

"You really want her? You promise."

"Yes, Bonnie, I promise. She is sweet and after seeing her in that dress, how could I not want her."

Bonnie smiles, "I can bunk in another room."

The Alpha and Eric don't join the rest of them, letting Melody enjoy the night. "Melody, I will be up in a minute; I have to make a phone call."

"Oh, okay I will see you in the room." This has been the best night ever and Melody was happy smiling on her way up to her room.
