Anthony's wolf Rocky sniffed the air and took off to the woods. 'Can you smell her buddy?'

'Mate is not far away. You be nice to mate. I heard Dad and Uncle, she needs us.'

'Rocky, she is pregnant with another wolf's pups. Can you love them?'

'They will be our pups if we mate her. Pups will be part of mate, and make pups easy to love.'

'We have to find her before we know what to do.' Rocky ran faster wanting to catch up to his mate. 'There she is, cut her off.' They jumped in front of her and growled at her. Both of them were slightly angry she ran off on them. She never gave them a chance.

"This is the best for you and the pack. Let me go and find yourself another mate." The growl that came from Rocky backed Melody up. Then she got mad and wouldn't let anyone bully her. "I've been pushed around enough. This is my decision. I will not let you hurt me." Rocky bit her shirt, tugging her back to the house. Realizing he dropped his clothes when he bit her shirt he stopped. Anthony shifted back and stood there naked making Melody spin around, not wanting to see him in all his glory. "Why don't you understand this is better. I bring trouble wherever I go."

Anthony grabbed her arm and pulled her up to his chest. "We need to talk before any decisions are made. You have no right to tell me how I feel. How could you hurt the people who love you by leaving like this."

"I don't want to hurt anyone. If I stay, I will get bigger and bigger, it will tear you apart. My innocent pups will be hated for being born. I know you will hate them, and me. Alphas like you can't accept another wolf's pups."

"How dare you! Who do you think you are to judge me when you don't even know me! You judge all Alphas according to the one you know. What about my father, or my uncle. Are they like that? You didn't give me a chance."

Melody starts to cry, "No matter what I do it's wrong." She drops to her knees. "I'm a coward alright, I am running because I don't want to get hurt anymore. I don't know how much more I can take. I was afraid if I looked in your eyes and saw disgust or hatred it would break me."

Anthony pulled her up into his arms and held her close as she cried. "Your loved ones are worried about. We should go back. If after we talk you still want to leave, I will take you wherever you want to go." The rest of the walk back they didn't talk just held hands.

When they got near the house Charley ran out and held her. "Don't you ever do that to me again! Do you know how scared I was that I lost you?" He pulled her in tighter.

Her tears started to flow again. "I'm sorry, I love you, Papa Charley. I didn't want to hurt anybody."

"The only way you could ever hurt me is by leaving me. I couldn't take you disappearing on me."

"We should take this inside." Alpha Cameron said. "It is cold out here and starting to snow." As Anthony walked passed his father, Cameron noticed Anthony's foot was bleeding. "What did you do to your foot, Son?"

"I stepped on a branch; the damn thing went right through my foot."

"I'll get the first aid kit." Charley ran in the kitchen, grabbed a towel and the kit. Anthony sat in a chair in the living room resting his foot on a towel.

Melody bent over looking at his foot. "It's nothing, don't worry about it." Anthony tried to cover his foot with the towel.

She raised her hand to quiet him then got on her knees alongside of him. Lifting his foot into her hands, she wrapped her fingers around the cut. A blue light glows from her hands, within a minute his foot is healed. "That should take care of it." She stood up and went to sit down.
