Chapter 15

It takes three hours to reach San Antonio. They had to wait until early the morning to leave, it was around ten in the morning when they got there. "We will all go to the address on this paper then if we have too, we will split up."

All four of them go to the address they had, "This is a free computer and coffee shop. Eric says. "I will go talk to the manager and see if they saw her. He comes back with four coffees minutes later. "They were no help. No one has seen her."

"Eric, did you ask them if they have surveillance cameras?"

"The lady said that they are down right now Alpha."

"Split up, to search for her. She can be anywhere, you each have a picture of her take them to all the hotels, they might have seen her. Michael stays with me; Eric and Drew go over two streets we will meet back here."

"Eric, you take one side of the street I will take the other."

At one in the afternoon Eric is in the intersection, when he smells her. "Drew come over to the intersection on fourth and main, I can smell her. She can't be that far away."

"That is her smell, but her smell has gotten stronger somehow, like it is more powerful. I'll keep looking, Eric mind link our dads."

"Dad, Alpha Kevin we caught a whiff of her scent. Three blocks up and over one."

"Keep looking we will be right there." Alpha Kevin says as he takes off toward the boys.

By the time they get there Drew is pacing. "We don't have enough scent to follow. It is to faint."

"We at least knew she is around we will keep looking." Alpha Kevin put his arm over his shoulder. To give him support.

"Dad can a wolfs scent change?"

"Only time a wolfs scent changes is when they are marked or when a female is pregnant. Why are you asking Drew?"

"Melody's scent is stronger and it feels more powerful."

"My baby girl must have gotten her wolf; it would make her stronger. I wasn't there to see it, I wonder what color her wolf is." Micheal is feeling worse each and every day.

"Let's get a room. We are going to be here a few days."

They walked down the sidewalk until they came to a Best Western. "Alpha this is a good hotel. Do you want to stay here?"

"This is good enough. I need to get a room I am tired."

"Dad you look tired are you feeling alright?"

"I'm fine the stress of finding Melody and her breaking the bond and the mess back at the pack is taking a toll. Once I get some sleep, I'll be fine."

Two days later Alpha Kevin explains to Drew they need to go home. "I know you want to keep looking, we took pictures everywhere, no one has seen her. The packs in the area said they didn't see her. That she wasn't part of their packs, they have not taken on any new members. It's a dead end, I have to get back to the pack, as alpha I have responsibilities."

"I understand dad, maybe I can come back by myself or with Eric to look a little more."

When they get back to the hotel, Drew asks "Can we have the keys to our room?" He is holding Melodies' picture.

"Here you go sir. You know that girl?"

"This girl, we are looking for her."

"That's the girl the hotel manager wanted to talk to."

"What for, did she get in trouble?"

"No sir, two of our guests told us she was the one that save the guys life."

"What guy? When did she save him?"

"I don't know what his name was, he took a heart attack on the elevator, and she saved him. According to the guests she was very kind and helpful."

"What was she doing here?"

"I don't know, I don't remember her having a room here. But I have been off for the last three days."

"Could you tell me all you know about her and what happened."

"She was in the elevator with five other people. The one man was not feeling well, they got him out of the elevator and laid him down in the hallway. The two guests offered to help but they said she started rubbing his chest and after a few minutes he sat up. One of the other men said he took a seizure but they knew it wasn't a seizure because her mother takes them."

"Whoever said this, did they see where she went?"

"Two guest told the manager about it. They were in the elevator when it happened, when the man got up and seemed okay, they went to their room on another floor. The couple came back to find the girl and they couldn't see her, so they came to the manager asking for his help. They wanted to ask her a question. I think she wanted to know howe she helped that man with the seizure. She hoped she could use it to help her mother.

"When was this? Do you know who the guy was?"

"That was Tuesday afternoon I believe. I don't know anything about the men she saved"

"What about cameras? It is important we find her."

"No there are no cameras up there and I didn't see the girl up close. So, I can't help you. I don't even know the floor she was on. She was running out the door when the two people from the elevator saw her and pointed her out to me. They tried to catch up to her, but she was gone."

Beta Micheal, dad she was here and saved a man's life I would like to stay one more day please, just to double check then go home."

One more day but if we don't have a lead by tomorrow night, we are on a plane going home." After another day of looking the Alpha said, "It is Thursday evening, and we have no leads, let's go home and hope she Facebooks Bonnie again."

"What about talking to the other packs further out from here. She joined a pack it would have to be close to here for her to join it."

"Drew I can send you an Eric back to check them out after we get home and straighten out a mess, we have there."

"Thanks dad I know I made this mess and you are doing your best to help me but I have to find her."

"I know son, we'll find her and if we don't you will choose a mate and start over."
