Chapter 11

I found my mate, I can smell her. Where is she? Oh no, it's Melody, Eric's sister. He hates her, has most of the pack turned against her. I don't understand why but he is my best friend, its my duty to back him. She hasn't seen me yet, l have to talk to Eric and go from there.

"Eric, I need to talk to you."

"Yeah, Drew, what's up?"

"I found my mate."

He pats Drew's back, all happy for him, "Who is it?"

"Melody. Your sister."

"You got to be kidding with me? There is no way the moon Goddess would do that to you."

"She did, Melody is my mate, she doesn't know yet. She is really pretty and has a good body, I like how quiet she is, I have seen her at training, she is strong for a she-wolf. She should be a good mate."

"Until she decides to leave you like her mom did."

"You really think she will do that to me?"

"She acts like our mom, has her personality, That's what dad told me, mom was quiet and always helping others. Melody is just like that. She is always helping and doing things for us, even with the shit dad and I give her. I'm telling you; someone will come by with a sad story and she'll leave. Just like her mother did. Dad is always going at her that she is useless because she is lying and it going to leave. If you don't believe me, ask him."

"I trust your dad and I know you wouldn't lie to me. Now what do I do reject her? Then the chances of me having a kid is like little to nothing."

Eric is thinking, "There has to be a way around this. You can pick your own Luna and keep her on the side."

"Do you think she will go for that. I could give her a house and take her whenever I felt the need to, you know. Then my wife could raise whatever kids she has, they would be the heirs I need, I would have the best of both worlds."

"You would be one lucky son of a bitch. I would love to be able to bed two females and get away with it."

"First thing is first, I have to get her in bed with me and get her used to the idea."

"We could tell her that if she doesn't take the house and what you are offering, she could live in the dungeons. Then you still get what you want."

"I hate that I have to reject her. It is the only way to make this work, if she is going to leave me, I need to protect my kids and me. Let's talk to your dad and mine and see what they say. You know this is going to hurt her."

"They had to leave and help another pack we have to be back by tomorrow to take charge. Don't worry about her, that's what you get for being a trader." Eric says hatefully.

Drew watched her the next day, saw how much fun she was having with Bonnie. He was waiting for the right time to tell her he was her mate. She turned eighteen today and Bonnie was taking up all her time. Drew is getting a little annoyed.

"Bonnie this has been the best vacation, thank you for taking me along."

"Stop with the thank yous, do you think I would be having this much fun if you weren't here."

Her smile is intoxicating I'll tell her at the dance. Holy shit, look at her in that dress. Every guy in this place is staring at her. Yeah, but she isn't looking at them. Not like Bonnie that is one hungry she-wolf. Looks like she is leaving, she didn't stay long. Let me talk to Bonnie.

"Yoh! Bonnie, can you find another place to sleep tonight?"

"Tell me why I should give up my room?"

"Melody is my mate and I want to spend time with her. If you know what I mean?"
