Chapter 27

Anthony is in the office doing paperwork when the phone rings, "Hello Silver Lake Pack."

"Long time no talk buddy."

"Drew, what has you calling me?"

"I am taking over the pack and wanted you to come celebrate with me."

"Man, that would have been great, but my mate is pregnant, I can't leave her."

"Wow, that is great news. I didn't know you found your mate."

"She is great, I couldn't be happier. How are you doing?"

"I lost my mate."

"I'm sorry, that is so tragic. What happened to her?"

"It doesn't matter, when I find her, she will never leave me again."

"Find her? I thought she died or something. Now you have to explain that one." Anthony keeps the game going.

"I rejected her. She was not good enough to be a Luna, my pack wouldn't have accepted her. She is beautiful and has some hell of a body. I took her to bed knowing I couldn't mark her. I got this plan instead; I thought I would keep her as my side piece and have me a Luna and make her my mistress slash mate. With the bond I thought she would never leave me, I was wrong. She took off and I haven't seen her in the last three months."

"I wish you luck in finding her. Did you find the one you want to make the Luna?"

"I have someone in mind just haven't acted on it yet. Sense the rejection thing I haven't wanted to take the next step. Maybe after I become the Alpha of the pack I will mate her then. It doesn't matter much I am having a ball with all the she-wolves. They all want to marry an alpha."

"I hope it all goes well. We will get together sometime. I am going to take over this pack in two days and it is crazy busy." Anthony then hangs up, thinking to himself, "It will be a cold day in hell when he gets her back." After the phone call he mind links Charley and his dad to come to the office and see him.

"What's up son?" His dad asks as Charley and him sit in the chairs by the desk.

"I got a phone call from Drew, the Skyline Pack's new Alpha. Well, he will be this weekend."

Charley asks, "What did he want?"

"He wanted me to come to his Alpha ceremony. I told him I couldn't because my mate was pregnant. I asked how he was doing, then he told me about how he lost his mate. I made it sound that I thought she passed away. He tells me what his plan for his mate was and she took off and he can't find her."

"Are you sure he doesn't know she is here?"

"No, or he would have told me what he has planned when he got her back. Once he got his hands on her he wasn't going to let go. He makes it sound like he was still taking on a Luna other than his mate. Melody was right to stay away from them, if they get her then she will be in the dungeons for sure."

"That is some sick shit," Alpha Cameron states. "I am glad she got away from there."

Charley stands up, "Let's just put a few guards around her for now, don't tell her about that damn call. She is nervous enough. I wanted to talk to you about the ceremony. What are you going to do when you cut hands and she touches you and she heals you right in front of everyone?"

"I have a special light that is going to shine on our hands and when we touch it will look like the light will get brighter and we should be safe. I got her a dress for tomorrow night, she is stressed about the dress and not having any clothes to wear. Here look at it."

He is holding a cream colored full length dress with gold patterns on it. "She will love it son. I can't believe you are taking over this pack. Time has flown by, your mother would have been proud of you, just like I am."

"Thanks dad."

Friday night gets here in no time and the setting is beautiful. The flowers are lining the stage along with colorful lights that circle the stage. The place where the hands are to be cut and entwined has a blue light, it is the same color as Melody's healing light, at least as close as they could find.

Anthonny is nervous. "This plan has to work the moon is up and the pack has come to see us take over."

"Welcome members of the Silver Lake Pack. Tonight, my son and his mate take over the pack. Introducing my son Anthony your alpha and Melody your Luna." As they enter the stage they are greeted with cheers of approval.

Anthony pledges his loyalty to the Silver Lake Pack and promises to guide and protect them. Then cuts his hand with his father, the shift of power was felt the second they touched. "Thanks dad."

Cameron turns to the audience pride showing. "I give you your new alpha Anthony Heinz." Cheers are heard throughout the pack.

Melody's turn next, she is allowed to sit because of her condition, "Do you, Melody, promise to care for, honor its laws, and to protect the Silver Lake Pack? To be my Luna and stand by my side?"

"I will to the best of my capabilities." The pack is so excited when they cut hands and the light glows brighter as they seal their union to each other. The pack has not had a Luna since Anthony was three, that was when his mother died from a rogue attack.

"You feeling alright my Luna?"

"I am fine. Do you think they are happy I am their Luna?"

"They are going to love you, they already do." He kisses her then helps her to stand to greet the pack.

"Thank you all for taking me in I feel like I have a family and each and every one of you are part of it." Cheers were heard throughout the room.
