Chapter 9

"This damn airport is crowded, can you see the terminal we are to meet him at."

"If you can't see it up there, how am I going to see it down here?" When we finally see Charley's brother, I don't know how we missed him. He is as tall as Charley and just as broad, his hair is not as dark though it is still black. His hair is short and neat while Charley's is longer and messy. I think they are twins. I'll have to find out, but I have to wait until he gets closer.

"Cameron, long time no see brother." Charley says as he holds out his hand. They seem to get along by the look in their eyes when they meet. Both of their faces light up just seeing each other. "Let's get your bags and we will head to the hotel."

"Kody is getting them."

"You brought Kody with you?"

"Of course. He won't let me go without him. You should know how he is."

"How is the family? My nephew should be what twenty now."

"They are all fine and he is twenty-one in a month, he is getting ready to take over. Anthony will be a good Alpha. He takes no shit, doesn't start any either."

"Spoken like a proud father."

"Where is this young lady you have been talking about?"

"She is right here next to me."

Cameron looks down at her. "She is a tiny thing, isn't she?"

"I might be tiny next to two giants, but I hold my own."

"She is feisty too." He starts grinning at her along with Charley.

"We will talk when we get out of here." Charley says as he starts rushing them out the door. When they are finally out of the airport a large man meets them, he looks a little younger than Charley. He kind of looks like he has a stick up his butt, not as tall as the brothers, about six foot and dirty blond hair, he has a much thinner build still muscular. He is carrying two suite cases.

"Kody, nice to see you," Charley greets him with an affectionate side hug and handshake. "The car is over here." They climb in the back while Melody gets in the front with Charley.

"The hotel is only fifteen minutes away, we will be there in no time. I didn't know Kody was coming, we are going to need another room."

"I should of told you. I wasn't really planning on him coming. He just got on the plane with me." Kody gave him a stern look but didn't say a word.

Charley goes back to the lady at the desk. "I need one more room please." The lady looks at the two of them as if she has never seen them before. "We are in 316."

"Oh yes sir I'm sorry you two look so different. Room 311 is available."

"That will be fine." Now having the fourth room they take the elevator up to their rooms, Kody is making strange faces, like he is in pain.

"Are you alright?" Cameron asks. Kody falls on the floor half in the elevator and half in the hallway. The people behind them are staring like deer in headlights.

"Kody what's wrong?"

"My chest." Then he starts to gasp for air. Cameron looks at Charley, "Let's get him in the hallway and out of the elevator."

The doors start to close, the people hit the hold button. "Can we do anything?"

The two large men have concern and anxiety on their faces. Harmony talks to Melody very confident and calm, "You can help him."

"How, what can I do?"

"Reach your arms out and touch him, then take his pain into your hands and throw it away."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Trust me I am your wolf I would never tell you something that is not true."

I will try." I drop to my knees placing my hands over his chest. "What now?"

Harmony tells me, "Relax and concentrate. Will the pain to your hands." A blue light comes out of my fingertips.

"Harmony, I can feel it. I can fix it. How am I doing this?"

"You are a healer, Melody. Now picture throwing it away with your mind."

"This is so cool, I can see it going. Thank you for helping me."

"We are a team; I am always here for you. Never debt me."

"He will be ok now." Melody tells them as she stands up. Then Kody sits up, he starts moving his arm and stretching out his body.

"Kody, you alright?" Cameron sounds so worried.

"Yes sir. I feel better than new, even the arthritis is gone."

Cameron turns to the couple in the elevator, "Thank you, he just had one of his seizures. He is better now." The couple breath out a sigh of relief then continued in the elevator.

Charley takes Melody in his arms and hugs her, "Thank you for helping him. Why didn't you tell me you were a healer?"

"I just found out; I have never done this before."

Cameron says, "Let's get into the room, now!" He voice sounds frantic.

"What's wrong?" Charley asks.

"You never told me she was a healer."

"We didn't know, she just got her wolf last night."

"If they find out she is a healer, the whole werewolf world will want her. She will not be safe. The pack she is running from will have a claim on her and then we can't help her."

Melody starts to shake like she can't stand up. Charley takes her into his arms, "You will be fine."

Stuttering, "I hav--have to leave here. They can't find me. I won't live in a dungeon for the rest of my life and be made to have children with that man. Charley, I can't, I won't. I'd rather be dead."

"We will fix this, even if it is just, you and me. I won't let them hurt you I promise," Charley holds her tighter.

"Don't worry you can come stay with us in my pack. We will hide you there until you break the bond with your old pack."

Kody whispers in Cameron's ear. Then Cameron nods for him to tell them. "You can become a member right now if you want. All you are required to do is pledge to Alpha Cameron here in front of us, two pack members. That is if you want to join our pack?"

Melody seems relieved, "You want me? Really, I can come to your pack? Oh yes, I would love to do that." Her eyes are glassy from the joy and relief she has some where to go.

"Let's get settled in, then we will have a private ceremony in my room." Cameron puts his arm over her shoulder. "Don't worry it will be alright I promise. Thank you for saving my friend."

As Melody left to go to her room with Charley, she was so happy. "Charley, do you think I could become a doctor? That way I could still help people and they wouldn't know what I could do."

"That would be a great idea, I can talk to my brother and see if we can work it out."

"You have become my lucky charm. Thank you for taking me with you and letting me have a chance at a real life." Charley hugs her one more time.

"You look tired Melody. Take a nap I'll come and get you when things are ready."
