Chapter 79

Anthony comes to his office and sees the two guards at his door and smells his father inside. "Why the guards and the cloak and dagger?"

"Son, last night I saw Michael around the office. I don't know what he was doing here but he was nervous, looking around when I saw him. He doesn't know that I saw him so let's keep that to ourselves."

"We have to see what they wanted, or what he found." Anthony starts checking if anything is missing. This cabinet is always locked and for some reason, he finds it is not locked and the papers were still there just looked a little out of place.

Frank who came over after talking to Charley says, "He was taking pictures of the pack's lay out I bet you that is what that sneaky bastard was doing."

"We can redo the patrol and have the safety equipment moved. The problem is can we do it without them knowing?" Anthony asks his father.

"Yes, I can fix it, if you get rid of them for a day?"

Anthony thinks for a minute, "They want to take us out the dinner, to say they are sorry for the misunderstanding also to say thank you. Why don't I make it for lunch and a trip to the beach. That will give you the day you need."

"That works. I will get Brandan on it as soon as you leave It will have to wait for a couple of days before we can get started on it, it we are going to move things around I think wo need to upgrade and redo some of the equipment. It would be the perfect time."

"I agree, they are not going to start anything while their father is here so order what you need. They offered to stay at a hotel to lesson the tension, I think I want them to stay where I can see them. They can start more shit out there then if they are here."

"I agree with you son have the Branden set up some activities for them. Like training with our men or taking them mountain climbing. Keep them busy so they stay out of the way and out of trouble."

"I like that I will go over and talk to them this morning. We only have a week or two left."

"Frank, I need you to go back to the house and tell Uncle Charley about this. He will not leave Melody by herself while they are here, not after what happened. I think he is blaming himself."

"I'll tell him and then Laurie, she needs to stay by your house with the kids just in case. You need more guards on the babies. You don't know what he wants, he might take them to trade for Melody or worse."

"I want you and Laurie to move in along with Carley, they may have other ideas also. I am setting up a dozen guards around the house."

"Thanks Anthony, I appreciate it. I don't trust them, and I know they are up to something."

"You need to keep Laurie safe, she has become like a mother to all of us. I have not had one in a long time."

"That would make her happy to hear." Then Frank leaves to find Charley."

Five days have past and Branden has kept Drew and them busy. Melody is back to work full time and feeling a lot better. "Mr. Homes, this is your last treatment you are going to recovery later today. They will set up some physical therapy and a few shots and then you get to go back to your family."

"There is no way to thank you for all you have done I feel like I am a teenager again, and it is all because of you."

"It was you who put in the time, and I am glad you don't need any more treatments."

"Alpha Kevin is next I need to speed up his treatments. Bonnie go get the shots."

"Little one, you are pushing too hard sit down for a few minutes."
