Chapter 52
"It is nice to see you, thank you for coming, Cameron."
"Darla, I haven't seen you and Mitchel in a while. How is he?"
"He is looking forward to seeing you." Melody came up with the twins. "Oh, my Goddess! Look at those pups. They are so beautiful." She sees Wyatt. "I'm sorry you are so handsome."
"These are my grandpups I told you about."
"You are so blessed, Cameron." She glares at her daughter.
"This is our daughter, Regina. You may remember her."
"I haven't seen you since you were this high." He holds his hand about three feet off the ground.
"See this." Darla points at the pups, "This is what I want you to do."
"Mom, enough. Henry and I will have pups when we are ready. I wouldn't mind playing with these little angels here."
Cameron puts his hand on Melody' arm. "This is Melody, the doctor I told you about. She is married to my son Anthony." He pointed at Anthony.
"It is so nice of you to come all this way to help Mitchel. He would have liked to come down to meet you, unfortunately he doesn't have the strength to come downstairs. He can barely sit up with help."
They entered the living room. Melody gave the twins to Harriet. "While the rest of them are getting settled would you like to take me up to see him?"
"Regina, would you make our guests comfortable while I take Melody up to see your father?" On the way up the stairs Darla told Melody all about Mitchel's symptoms. "This is our room." She opened the door. "Darling, are you awake?"
"Darla, you don't have to keep checking on me. Go visit with Regina."
"I brought the doctor Cameron told us about. This is Melody. She came all this way to try and help you."
"Is Cameron here?"
"He is downstairs."
"Go keep him company. You can't leave our guest all alone downstairs."
Darla was about to disagree when Melody stopped her. "Darla, why don't you go downstairs, I will give your mate his first treatment. I will be done in about a half hour."
"Don't you need help?"
"I can handle it on my own."
Darla looked at her then at Mitchel. "If you need me there is an intercom, call out."
Mitchel sees Melody getting things out of her bag. "Hello Mr. Donavan, are you ready for your first treatment?"
"Call me Mitchel. Cameron has told me a lot about you. With any luck, I will get to hear you play one day. He says you play like an angel."
"It would be an honor to play for you." She comes closer to him. "The treatments are simple; I'll have to roll you onto your stomach first." Once he is in place Melody shows him the towel. "I am going to take this towel and cover your head; it allows you to relax better."
"Are you sure this is going to help?"
"All I can promise you is that it won't make it worse. We might as well try it. I am here, if after this treatment you don't feel any better than we can stop." He nods to go on. 'This is a bad case, Harmony. This is going to take a lot of energy.'
'You can fix this with a little extra time. Don't drain all your energy, I will give you some of my strength.'
'I am going to need it.' She leaves her hands on his back for ten minutes, usually she only does five minutes. They talk some before Melody begins to rub his back, to cover up what is really happening. After talking she can see why Cameron and Mitchel are friends. "We are almost done. I can see why you and Cameron are friends. He is a lot like you."
