Anthony has been overprotective the whole week they have been home. No one has heard or seen Michael or Drew, which hasn't eased Anthony's nerves. Anthony was a little relieved when Mitchel showed up. He came with his own army. Being on the council he has to be protected. "Welcome to the Silver Lake Pack."

Darla takes Melody's hand. "Thank you for having us. Mitchel is still weak, but he is determined to stand and shake hands with Anthony and Cameron."

"I hope you don't mind, Darla; you're going to be staying with us. Mitchel, you will be at the hospital for at least two weeks, then you can stay at our house, if things go well. The last two weeks of treatment you should be able to go back and forth to the hospital."

"I get to spend time with the pups. That is going to make this trip so much better."

"Woman, do not make them crazy spoiling their pups."

"Why do you have to spoil my fun, Mitchel?"

"Don't worry she can't spoil them anymore then their grandparents do." Melody winked at Darla letting her know not to worry about it.

Mitchel's treatment went right on schedule. At the two week mark he moved in with Anthony and Melody. They could have put them in the pack house, but Darla was having so much fun with the pups. "Mitchel, we are having a card game tonight do you want to join us?"

"Charley, you said the magic word. I love playing cards."

"Good. You can show Cameron he isn't as good as he thinks."

Darla was playing with the pups when Mitchel came in the house with Anthony. "Anthony, you are so blessed with all these pups." Mitchel picks Hope up and makes her fly around the room. "Your wife is a miracle worker, I never thought I would have a chance to see my own grandpups."

"I hope that Regina will do this soon. When she came to visit, she was having so much fun with them. I have my fingers crossed." Darla is tickling Sarah. "If she doesn't maybe we can come back and play with your pups again."

Melody came in on the tail end of the conversation. "I have wonderful news. Your last checkup said you are totally clear of cancer. That means you can go home whenever you want."

Darla's whole face dropped. "No more pups."

"I am cancer free and all you are worried about is not seeing the pups. I wonder if you still love me."

"Old fool, you know I love you. It's just I could see you were getting better and stopped worrying so much Melody can work wonders. Only if she can get Regina pregnant."

"I talked to Regina when she was here. You might be getting good new soon." Darla went over and hugged Melody.

"I hate to say this. I have missed a lot of time on the council I need to get back." Mitchel felt sad leaving too, this was his pack growing up.

"You can leave tomorrow. We have to have another game. We haven't beaten Cameron yet." Charley stood there with a deck of cards in his hands.

"You're right, he is one lucky son of a bitch."

The next morning, they were all in the yard saying goodbye. Cameron teased Mitchel and Charley, he waves some cash in front of them "You can come back anytime I could always use money."

Mitchel glared at him. "I said it once I will say it again. You are one lucky son of a Bitch."

As they were standing there saying goodbye Darla's phone rang. "Hold on a minute. Really! You are! I am so happy. I'll talk to you when we get home." She runs over to Melody, "You are a true miracle worker. You not only saved my mate you talked Regina into having a pup."
