Chapter 68

They are stopped at the gate, there is a group of guards that escort the convoy up to the pack house. Anthony puts his arm around Melody, "It will be ok."

Bonnie's head is on Branden's shoulder, as they step out of the car. "I am here for you baby don't worry."

Frank has his arm around Laurie's shoulders while he has Carley in his other arm. "It will be fine, don't worry."

We are greeted by Drew and Eric, Michael is not with them. "Welcome to you all. Thank you for coming to our pack."

"Thank you for inviting us to dinner, Drew."

"I thought you said twenty was coming with you. I hope we have enough for this large group of people."

"There will only be twenty eating with us this evening, the rest are guards."

"I see." Each couple says hello as they walk past. An omega shows them into the living room. Melody and Anthony stand across from Drew and Eric as their entourage enters the doors.

"Bonnie, it's nice to have you back. And who is this little angel you're holding?"

"Let me introduce you to my mate, Branden. This little angel is Melody's daughter Hailey, and this is Wyatt."

Wyatt who is in Branden's arms reaches out to Anthony with a big smile. "Daddy, get me."

Anthony scoops him up, "What's wrong, son?"

"I like you holding me more than Uncle Branden."

Anthony nuzzles him and gives him a little tickle, "You're so silly."

Each one of the triplets are carried in by a guard, followed by the two nannies. Last but not least are six guards followed by the councilman and his wife. "Drew, I would like to introduce you to Councilman Marten Donavan and his wife Darla."

"Councilman, I wish I would have known you and your lovely wife were coming. I would have extended you a place to sleep for the night."

"It's not needed, we are staying with Anthony and Melody. We have become close over the last year."

Drew reaches out to shake the councilman's hand then goes to Anthony. When he reaches out to Melody, she draws away from him. Drew calmly let's his hand lower to his side and gestured for them to enter.

"Dinner is not quite ready yet why don't we sit in the living room and talk for a little while."

"I'd prefer not to talk right now. I want to go see your father, if at all possible, Alpha Drew. I can join you all for dinner after I have taken care of him."

Drew smiles at her, "Well of course."

"Where is he at?"

"Let me take you to him."

"That is alright. Bonnie and I know the house and the pack well, we can find our way. It would be rude to take you from all your other guests."

With a slightly disappointed look in his eyes, "Fine, he is in the hospital. The nurses there can tell you what room he is in. They will help you in any way you need."

"Thank you, but Bonnie is a nurse, as you know, and she is all the help I will need." As the two girls turn to leave, six guards and Branden accompany them, he is not letting his mate be unaccompanied in this pack.

Anthony gets up to give Melody a kiss, "Do you want me to join you?"

"No, Hun. You stay here with Marten and the children, we'll be back in about forty minutes." Drew and Eric look at each other at the use of such a friendly name by Melody for the councilman.
