Chapter 94

Eric enters Drews office, "We need to pay those guys and get rid of the cars. It's been over two weeks."

"Yeah, call them. Put the money in the post office like we said. Make sure you tell them that they have to get rid of the cars, and they better not be found."

Eric is on the phone, "Hank, I'm calling to tell you where to get your money. I want you to go the post office in San Jose. Now remember though you have to get rid of the cars. Drop them off a cliff into the ocean. I don't care, but I don't want them found."

"Yeah, well, we weren't supposed to get rid of the cars, and you left us sitting here over two weeks. We want an extra 10,000 for you leaving us here in this flea-bitten motel until you got ready to call us. The deal never said for us to get rid of the cars. You said to bring them back to you, not get rid of them. You want us to get rid of them, I want more money. So, you got a good incentive to pay me, I can always leave the cars in the police parking lot with notes in them saying These are the cars that stole that famous musician, Melody."

"How much money?"

"Well, four cars? How bout we say $20,000 each car and the $10,000 for making us wait."

"You're talking $90,000?" Eric says angerly.

"Sounds right to me. It is also for lying to me about them being your mate that someone stole from you."

"I'll call you back." Eric walks in to see Drew. "We have a small problem, they want more money. He said no one told him they had to get rid of the cars, he just thought he had to bring them back. He also wants $10,000 for us making him wait an extra four days. If we don't deliver the money, he's going to leave the cars at the police station with a note saying that those were the cars that did the job with Melody. Yeah he said it is for lying to him about them being our mates."

"It's always something with people they always want more and more. We made a deal, and they're not going to keep their end of it? Alright, call them and tell him we'll pay it. Have him bring all four cars to valley drive road. We will meet him there the day after tomorrow at six in the morning. You got all that?"

"You want to give them another $90,000 on top of the 50,000 you owe them?"

"I'm not paying them. The end of Valley Drive Road is near the cliffs. It's also in no man's land. All we got to do is kill them, throw them in the cars, and push everything off the cliff. Nobody will know, nobody goes down there."

"Hey, that's not a bad idea. Thats why you're the Alpha."

Anthony is pacing the room," It's taking too long."

"Calm down, son. We've already got the council on our side. They are willing to send in troops. Her pictures have been in the newspaper now for the last two weeks. Everyone knows what she looks like. We can't do anything else; we just wait. Be patient this has to be done right"

Later that afternoon the phone rings. Hank picks it up, "Hello. You made us wait in this flea-bitten motel; I want an extra $10,000 for that. Nobody said were getting rid of the cars. I was supposed to drop them back to you. You want me to do all that, you pay me an extra $20,000 each. If you don't, I'll take them to the police with a note telling them exactly who was in these cars. That sounds about right, $90.000. Don't make me wait much longer or the price will go up." Hank turns back to the guys, "Well, he'll call me back, and we'll get our answer soon."

"Why didn't you just meet him now and take the money?" Anthony asks angrily.

"Calm down man. He wanted me to go to the post office to get the money and get rid of the cars. This way they'll want to meet us in person. They're going to want to get rid of us and the cars themselves. This way you can catch the bastards. I told you I only do this to help people. I was tricked, I never want to take someone from their family."

" Good, that gives us time to make a plan." Cameron pats Anthony on his back. "It is coming to an end, just a little longer."

Two hours later the phone rings again, Hank answers it, "Hello. Fine I'll meet you at the end of Valley Drive Road. Six in the morning, day after tomorrow. You better have the money. He ends the call. They'll be there day after tomorrow at six in the morning. Get your plan together." Hank leaves the room.

"Dad, you better call Mitch, tell them what's going on, see if they can send some men there." Anthony walks outside thinking to himself, "Hold on Melody. We're coming."

The next day, Marten didn't let them down. Standing outside were forty council guards waiting to be told what to do. Cameron was excited about the amount of help they had. I am taking all the men and setting things up tonight. We don't know what the end of Valley Drive Road is like, and we need to be prepared for them in the morning."

"I am staying here with Hank at the hotel. I plan on making a grand entrance." Anthony looks like the devil himself when he says that.

"I hope I can see his face from where I am at when he sees your face."

"They get to Valley Drive a little before six. Cameron was already there along with his own men and the ones the council sent. Hank is standing outside the cars when Drew shows up, "You brought some help, huh? You didn't really need that many men to take the cars, did you?"

"No, it's just to take care of you."

"Does that mean I'm not getting my money?" Hank says with a silly laugh.

"You honestly thought I was going to pay you?"

"No. That's why I brought HIM." Anthony steps out of the car.

As soon as Drew sees him he shouts, "You son of a Bitch!" Turns to his men, "Attack!"

All the council guards came out of hiding. Drew hops in the car with Eric leaving Michael behind. Anthony jumps in a car with Branden to chase them down. Halfway back to Drews pack, Anthony gets a call. "We've got everything done here. We're heading to you son. Don't do anything until you have your back up."

"Only if he enters pack grounds. If I catch him before then he's mine."

"Marten is on his way here. He'll be here in less than an hour. We can enter the pack without a fight, as long as Marten is with us. We don't want to kill innocent wolves."

"I know, Dad. I know." Anthony hangs up the phone. "Branden, can't you go any faster?"

"We're doing 100 now. How much faster do you want me to go?" As he says that Branden hits the back of Drew's car, trying to push them off the road. Drew's car loses control, flipping over twice. Branden brings the car to a screeching halt. "I got the bastard."

Both men run to the car; they see Eric getting out dazed. Branden walks up to him, "You took my mate, Fuckhead." Then he punches Eric so hard he knocks him out.

"Do you see Drew?" Anthony yells out as he looks all around.

"Not yet, I'm going to throw him in the trunk. I'll help you find him."

Anthony starts walking around when he smells him. "He's at the edge of the clearing in wolf form running." Within seconds Anthony shifts into his wolf and starts following him. He minds links Branden, "I've got him. I'm right behind him now."

Branden decides to head toward the pack house to wait for the rest of the men to catch up. Anthony is about to pounce on Drew when he is hit on the side by another wolf. Anthony hadn't realized he had reached the pack border. He stops and takes out the wolf that attacked him with ease, this allows Drew time to escape into his pack grounds, forcing Anthony to stop and head toward the gate.

Branden hands Anthony some clothes, "They will be here in about ten minutes."'
